Stajan and Hagman out

According to Berger Stajan and Hagman are out

I think its complete ******** to bench Stajan, the guy has 3 goals this year

Apparently Exelby is in tonight and Howard thinks Schenn may be the odd man out tonight but that is still speculation

They've been benched because they are supposed to be our leaders in the front end. Time to step up.

Other than his 3 goals, Stajan has been pretty invisible. Hagman has been invisible all together. I think Blake needs to be the one in the press box though. We need to get that whole frat pack line back up. We played our best hockey in the preseason when they were together. They injected enthusiasm and hunger to win in a lineup that seems to be desperately lacking these things. The veterans also elevated their game when it came to defending the youngsters and the whole team dynamic seemed to be much better.

The only forwards I've really liked have been Stempniak, Wallin, Mitchell and the 4th line. They're doing their jobs night in, night out, and though they're not getting the results we need, atleast they're working their ***** off, which is a lot more than we can say about the rest of our team.

Stajan, Hagman and Schenn to sit?

Sounds good to me. Time for some consequences.

Whatever... Stajan lost the game the other night after a bone head penalty taking the momentum away which was the turning point of the game. Cant win any faceoffs.....and is slow as molases......

lol keep bring up stats

The team was scored on 7 times last night and not only were Stajan and Hagman completely awful on offence but they were even more awful on defence.

Blake should be scratched too though as should Grabovski, Mitchell and mostly every other forward on the team.

Incomprehensible that Wilson benches our 1st line centre.

Do we really need a separate thread for this? This has been discussed multiple times in the Bozak/JoeyMac recall thread.

sadly Grabovski's been one of our better players. At least someone here is watching the games. Stajan and hagman were easy choices. I counted at least 5 give aways from Hagman.

Not benching Blake makes me think that he is being show-cased.

Since we don't have a true 1st line center, I don't believe in calling Stajan or anybody else "our 1st line centre".

Quite simply, they're all interchangeable at this point.

There's no room left on the 23-man roster to call anybody up, I don't believe.

Hagman has done next to nothing this year. Schenn hasn't stood out well in any game. Stajan has scored, but he was absent last night.

Not true. He's been fantastic at making unforced turnovers.

How Blake and Stemps avoid the benching is beyond me. Both compete just as little if not less at both ends of the ice. They both skate around a lot then make a dumb play. Stemps Hagman and Blake all had brutal giveaways yesterday though.

Hagman and blake more than stempy. Either way, all 3 have to get their heads out of their ***es.

You can't bench everybody. There's only so much room on the roster to call guys up. As it is, there was only room to call one guy up without putting another player (Primeau) on IR.

It looks like to me Hagman is hurt. It was in a pre season game he got rocked by a hit and hasn't looked the same. He seems to be moving in slow motion.

doesn't matter who sits at this point. it's all about making some kind of "statement" - whatever that means.

this isn't an effort problem...this is a lack of talent and some bad luck. luck will balance itself out over time....it's the other part I worry about.

Move White up front force Primeau to play. Put XLBY in the backend, we might be able to bench them all . But yea, I guess I would of gone for the people who have contributed nothing this year Stemps Hagman and Blake more so then Stajan. Stajan hasn't been bad, he just hasn't been very good at anything other then faceoffs.

benching them 2 cant possibly result in anything worse than the start we have gotten off to. Maybe once reinserted they step it up, both on the ice and in the locker room. They arent much, but they ARE supposed to be out top forwards on a regular basis
