ersberg definitely looks shakey but what do you expect?
only saving grace for the whole game? no empty net goal.
it was just one of those games that you knew wasn't going to go the kings way once the 3rd period started. i also think TM shifted harrold and richardson a ***** much at the end there.
Ersberg didn't have a good game, but he is a good enough backup. When you are playing against offensive savvy opponents he is going to let in some so the team needs to step it up. The whole team could have played better today, they need to put it behind themselves fast and get ready for Detroit tomorrow. Hopefully they learn from it.
I am very proud of Murray and his patience this year with line tampering, but I think he needs to at least start to be alert of how non-existent our second line is out there. Williams has been shaky at times too, perhaps a swap to see if either Williams or Brown could get a jolt or maybe modify the Frolov experiment. Purcell has been pretty strong so far, but Brown and Stoll are leaving the team wanting on the ice. I love our third line, but I don't know how much further we are going to get if our second continues to struggle and get pushed off the puck. Don't make a move yet, but sit them down and let them know that the sands are falling and they need to get things worked out and get something going soon.
Either way, they had a moderate effort tonight, they should still have plenty of energy left in the tank to get things going tomorrow. Quick is in goal and we shouldn't have too many excuses. GO KINGS!

Outshoot, outplay and outchance the opponent yet lose. These games happen all the time. The team actually played pretty well just ran into a very good goalie. Ersberg well it's his first game. Would have liked Quick in there today, and have Ersberg play tomorrow.
Hey fellas. Just wanted to drop by to say good game. The Kings definitely outplayed the Rangers in huge chunks of this game (really, almost the entire game).
I will still be cheering the Kings on in the West as I have the last few seasons (I have Center Ice, I always make sure to watch the Kings... really enjoy watching this team).
Good luck the rest of the way and I really hope you guys make the playoffs!
Even though the outcome didn't wind up in our favor we still looked good on the puck, couldn't get anything set up or complete any plays, but Kings were always on the puck. Ersberg let in some weak goals, and although I understand it's his first game of the season and all the practice in the world is not going compare to in game situations; if it continues we need to move him and find someone who can steal a game without wearing out Quick. I hate Williams on the point on the power play and would like to see Johnson and Doughty paired together.

Thanks for the kind words. I think The Rags deserved to win tonight. good luck the rest of the way.
Wasnt all Ersbergs fault. It was his first game in a long time and Quick wasnt exactly stellar in his first start. 2nd line needs to get pucks in the net! Oh well. Hopefully they get it together for tomorrows game.
