yes - as soon as his hand is strong enough to hold his stick, he should be back in the lineup.

I bet no one is counting down the days until he is back more than Wellwood. Shirokov and Hansen would look so much better on his wings than Glass and Desbiens.

Jason Botchford (at least he was right on the Daniel foot injury) says Hansen is recovering slower too and will be back closer to 6 weeks than 4.

@VanCitySports It's a while yet. He's on pace for six weeks from the end of September.

The surgery took place a week and a half ago. Two weeks until the pins come out, and from the sounds of it, less than a week after that he should be playing. So Hansen should be back in 3 weeks.
Really? probably has to wear some kind of special protection on that hand though right? I know what his distant cousins the Hanson's would recommend...

From the game preview on CDC

Quote:
Injury Report: Calgary is much healthier than Vancouver at the moment. In fact, David Moss is their only concern. The young forward is questionable for Friday's game because of a lingering upper-body injury. As mentioned, both Salo and Daniel Sedin are out for at least the next three weeks. Demitra, recovering from shoulder surgery, is out until mid-November. Hansen's broken fingers are almost healed and he could be activated any day. Schneider is also close to being 100 percent, but his return won't come for several more games because he was placed on IR at the start of the season.

I wouldn't put too much stock in that. I trust CDC about as far as I can throw an obese chick.

wow, they really screwed themselves by putting Schneider on LTIR. Demitra on LTIR + Lukowich being sent down should have been enough to get them cap compliant.

Capgeek also has Hansen on LTIR though - is this information incorrect?

Hansen is out 4 to 6 weeks. Why wouldn't he be put on the LTIR?
