Any recommendations for a hotel or section of DC that would be best to stay for the weekend?
Depends on what you're looking to experience. Hotel Monaco is always what I recommend for people. It's right across from MCI Center (the arena), and between Capitol Hill and the White House. There's a Ritz-Carlton in Georgetown which is cool if you're into the upscale club and restaurant scene. There's also the Willard, which is the place to stay for Washington "insiders." All the lobbyists and politicians will be staying there.

If you're looking for something super cheap, there's not much.

But yes, if you (or anyone else!) wants to come down to DC for a game and a night out, I'm always game. We don't have any dumb 25+ for out of state drinking thing, either. Send me a PM any time if you're interested.

A good place to stay in DC is the Days Inn on Connecticut Avenue. I've stayed there twice including this past July. It's very reasonable and is within walking distance of the red line - which you can take directly to the Verizon Center. If there's a gathering in DC, I'd probably book a room there.

Well I know the afternoon games in Boston and DC have been floated around, thus no need for hotel.

You are right. Boston has both a 1pm game and a 3pm game coming up. The DC game at 7pm doesn't need a stayover. It would just be a very late return back to the city.

The best value in D.C is the Hampton Inn. Both times I stayed there it was $98 a night, and its a very clean hotel. Best thing about it is that its about a block and a half away from the Verizon center. Easily walking distance.

I'm in. I moved to Boston a few years ago and the only time I can catch the Rangers are when they play the Bruins. I can meet up with you guys at the stadium. Are you trying to buy group tickets?

If anyone can contact the Boston Bruins ticket office on Monday let us know if they offer group tickets for either of the 2 Rangers games. I doubt they do but let's see what is on offer.

Make sure you dont tell them we are from NY.

If there are no group tickets available, its ok because I saw groups of 20 and 30 seats together at stubhub for about 70 each.

I'd be interested but I have a friend whose father gets me tickets for the Rangers at Boston games in Club Seats, so it would be nice to see a whole bunch of Ranger fans there though

Do you plan on taking the bus with us from NYC? You should get tickets with us, were trying to get a whole section with Ranger fans.

Hey guys.. Shot in the dark... I know some of Mets fans on Baseball-Fever got a suite for a game... would it be crazy for us to get one? I think we could pool enough to get one. It would include food and drinks I think. Worth a shot.

Info here

I was orginally part of this but had to drop the plans last minute. I post on baseball-fever all the time.

They paid 150.00 per person for the suite, and had unlimited food/beverages. I suppose we could ask the Bruins about this. If no one volenteers to call them, I guess I will try next week sometime. I'll ask about group tickets for the January or March game, and also about suite availablity.

Like I said, even if the Bruins cant help us directly, stubhub has plenty of group seating available for less than 100.00

Hey BDRangers, I have your email right? Make sure you had given it to me if you wanna come

Damn, would love to join in but I jinx the team at the TD Bank North Gahden

I've seen 3 games there since 2007, and the rangers have scored exactly 0 goals total for all 3 games
