I don't think either will be fired. Both owners are patient and in love with these coaches.

I think that Trotz has a longer leash, but Fisher may be able to avert diaster by making staff changes.

Either way, I am enjoying the Titans at 0-6!

How do you get fired when you've received a life-time appointment?

Shame on you Titan haters. The one that deserves to be canned the most is Fisher, 15 years of mediocrity and choking in the playoffs, all while being paid like a top coach....

Trotz likely will not get fired this year. Our team is very different from last year and Poile knows this, unless we go on to be completely dead in the water by Feb. Trotz should be fine.

Fisher has completely lost the team and its like taking one of our best Pred teams and not only losing in the playoffs but not making it and being one of the worst teams in the league. Trotz has never done anything like that and usually does better than that with a team thats expected to lose.

Fisher will be the first one gone as of now, but I don't think he will be fired until next year at the earliest.

Been a Pats fan since 2000 and I have a love hate with the Titans. I hate Bud Adams, I have vince young, I love Fisher, I love Bulluck, I love Britt, I HATE the GM, I hate the Titansean. I think the whole organization (with the exception of CJ, Britt, Fisher, the offensive line, Bulluck, Griffin) stinks. I know we are a small market, but the whole stay the course thing doesn't work.

Plus who honestly thought Young was going to be any better than Cutler? Not this guy.

So watching the Titans lose was OK with me.

You keep saying this, but the Titans have the 7th-highest payroll in the NFL at $126M+.

Both coaches probably should be fired, but neither will be.

As a Pats fan speaking, Fisher by a mile. that team showed the heart of a hummingbird. At least trotz gets his teams to overachive year after year.

Unless you've got a top-notch coach ready to come in and take over, you don't fire Fisher. He's done more good than bad over time. Yes, you always want to win the Super Bowl, but I've seen a heck of a lot worse than Fisher.

As a 49ers fan, we've had Erickson and Nolan alone -- with the only thing Nolan doing right is bringing Singletary on board. The Browns... okay well, they have no clue, okay? Seriously, Mangini? And what have the Bills done under Jauron?

I have no ill feelings for the Titans, so whatever they do, I hope it's for the best. But I think firing Fisher is a mistake, given that the next guy could be a lot worse, unless you've got a rock-solid battle plan in place, and that next guy will still have to rebuild anyway so you wouldn't see the fruits of his labor for a while.

Young isn't even the highest paid player on the team, so should we blame the GM for paying the offensive line what they're worth?

2,056,720- Crumpler
2,876,800- Collins
3,962,524- Young
7,862,388- Bulluck
5,674,220- kVB
3,128,480- Gage
3,488,960- Mawae

Now, you will probably disagree with me, but I'm going to go ahead and say it anyway. Mawae is worth every penny. Actually, I think the majority of the offensive line is worth their pay. They have given up six sacks in six games. I think that is pretty good.

Look at Crumplers contract. Awful. Same goes for Gage.

The real kicker is young and collins. If we hadn't drafted Young, we probably wouldn't have signed Collins. Sure it is speculation, but if we had drafted cutler like I said we should (or Leinart when Chow was still in charge of the Offense) I doubt we would have signed collins to such a large contract.

Next year youngs contract jumps to something like $10M, (if my memory serves me correctly) making him the 6th highest paid QB behind Brady, Manning, Manning, Brees, and Rivers. Awful contract.

Just for s's and g's I voted in this. I think IF there is a firing this season it will be Trotz and it will happen before Thanksgiving. If Trotz is still here come December, I think he's here for the season.

Fisher, if he's fired, will get the papers sometime in March or April I think. Not until after the season.

I don't disagree with you at all. That was actually my point, that the players that are getting paid the most (Roos is making $13M) are playing up to their value, with the exception of Vanden Bosch, and that was a reasonable deal until he started nursing a knee injury and lost all his speed off the end.

Crumpler is a veteran player, and they tend to make pretty good money, plus it's expiring this year. Gage had the club over a barrel because they were desperate for wide outs, but I will concede that his deal is pretty bad.

The Vince Young saga can be attributed to two people: Bud Adams and Vince Young. Adams was the driving force behind that pick, and Reinfeldt just had to go along with it. Young was the one that made the whole thing into a sports network soap opera.

Collins was signed with the expectation that he wouldn't throw for 4,000 yards but would be competent in managing the game. It wouldn't look nearly as bad if the wide outs weren't dropping passes left and right, even though he's in his late 30s and is less mobile than Hal Gill.

I don't think Reinfeldt has really been any worse than Floyd Reese was near the end of his tenure here, although he certainly hasn't been any better.

No.

The worst part is that we can't make fun of Schwartz for leaving because the Lions have a better record than the Titans.

If you added him, you'd have to add in Horacek since he runs the "power play", right?

Fisher.

Trotz is losing on a shoestring budget, Fisher is losing with the same team that dominated the league last year...until they choked in the playoffs...

I voted Trotz simply because the buyout for Fisher is astronomical.
