Markov for Filatov

When Markov comes back, if this team is not in contention, what about a trade with Columbus centered around Markov for Filatov.

Obviously it would not be Markov for Filatov straight up but these would be the main pieces.

I think this Montreal team lacks a pure goal scorer on their team and in their system. The problem with trading Markov IMO is that the D will continue to look bad for a while.

Markov for Nash and I might start considering thinking about trading one of the Top 5 defenceman in the league.

No and you won't find many people if any who would do this here.

Markov is way too important to this team. Filatov is a nice prospect but Markov has more value to us and on the market as well.

Awards:
We've won 1 game without Markov since his injury last year, including the playoffs.

So yeah, good idea.

Uh, no. Markov is retiring a Hab. If Habs continue to suck this year we'll get a top 5 pick in the draft and a scorer that way. We'll come back next year with that pick and a healthy Markov.

If you want to know what Gainey should do, I'd suggest that he resigns players or at the very least trades them for I dunno even a draft pick?? Hopefully they don't pull a Leafs and trade their first round draft picks and a second rounder while in a rebuild process.

Don't trade Markov, resign good players and give them money that they deserve...5mill for Mike Camalleri is too much per year imo

This

I think it is fair value, then again though Markov coming off an injury isn't Markov not coming off an injury.

Prior to injury, I think I'd honestly consider this deal. (love Nash)

Then I guess you won't be happy to learn he makes 6 million.

Are you out of your mind ?

That has to be one of the most ridiculous trade proposal I've ever read on HF, and I've seen many, many ridiculous trade poposals.

Man...

Oh well minor mistake, still it's too much for him. They had many opportunities to make the team better; they could have replaced Lang, they could have traded or resigned Koivu, Kovalev, Tanguay, and Lang (depending on his condition)

I'm going to close this, since the Habs can't trade Markov cause we can't win without him and right now there's a lot of pissed off Hab fans, so this thread is just going to be ripped to shreds.
