Maurice "Rocket" Richard.

There's a reason he has a movie.

Patrick Roy willed a mediocre team to the cup almost single handedly.

The only player in NHL history to be a three time playoff MVP speaks for itself.

Alex Kovalev.

He's the only player that got fans to do a protest in front of the Bell Center/Forum so the organization would keep him. That's got to say something.

Honestly, it's a toss up between Maurice, Béliveau and Roy. There have been many other great players on this team throughout the ages, but those three have made this team's legacy and legend what it is today.

Maurice Richard. Béliveau might have been a slightly better hockey player overall, but Richard is Richard.
And as much I love him, Saku has no business in that kind of thread.

It's tied between: Maurice Richard, Jean Beliveau, Guy ********* Lafleur and Patrick Roy and Ken Dryden.

You just can't say who's the best out of the 5. They all Magical.

I heard yesterday on "L'époque des Héros" on Radio Canada that Morenz played hockey during a time when it was not permitted to pass the puck to players ahead of you on the ice. Only lateral and backward passes were alowed.

It was a very different game. Hard to compare, indeed.
