The Predators used the following lineup in practice yesterday before boarding the plane for Boston…

Sullivan – O’Reilly – Dumont
Erat – Legwand – Ward
Scatchard – Wilson – Hornqvist
Jones/Belak – Goc – Smithson

Bouillon – Weber
Suter – Klein
Franson – Sulzer

Ellis should start in nets tonight as he was the first to leave the ice, while Rinne talked 1-on-1 with Trotz in the corner and worked through a couple drills with Korn afterwards…

We are so dead.

Why is Scatchard playing with Wilson and Hornqvist?!??! What in the world would make trotz do that?

This should be a *real* entertaining game for the folks in Boston!

If we take it to OT and salvage a point, I will be in heaven...

Literally a fourth of their goal-scoring offense went down today. No Lucic, either.

This game will likely be a low-scoring, tight-checking defensive battle that few people will actually want to watch... but a game we're more likely to win.

I say we get another great performance from our goalies tonight and win 2-1.

I missed Savard out at the top of the GDT. I didn't see this reported in the Tennessean. In fact, they indicate he is the player to dread. (no dah).

No way we win a tight-checking battle as long as Klein is on the ice...

I'll take the Preds roster and raise it:

Sturm - Bergeron - Ryder
Sobotka - Krejci - Wheeler
Paille - Whitfield - Recchi
Marchand - Begin - Bitz

I am going with a 3-0 Boston win.

Klein has been on the ice for the last 5 Predators goals against.

Don't know about you, but I'd like to see that trend change tonight...

In the words of danny ellis: OH ABSOLUTELY.

I just don't see that changing when Boston has the last change. If I was coaching against the Preds, I would basically consider any time Klein is out on the ice a power play opportunity.

Klein has to get his head out of that chasm at some point. I'm not saying tonight is that night, but Hamhuis will be back at some point barring a trade (which I don't think is likely until later in the season if at all). Sulzer will have an opportunity to battle for position. If competition for a roster spot can't wake Klein up we might lose, but he'll certainly be scratched often, to the relief of many Predators fans and two goalies.

I hope you're right, because those lines scare the hell out of me. If we manage to get a few shots on goal I'll be shocked. Looking forward to hanging out with you on here during the game.

Joetime... the people at DirecTv told us that if FS-TN is showing the game it is blocked out on Center Ice because FS-TN bought the rights to broadcast that game. I was looking forward to the free preview this month and we had to find out why the first couple of games were not on Center Ice. (and this was either feed - ours or theirs).

They said it is the same in every region: I could watch all the other games on at that time but they said if we lived in those regions we couldn't because Fox was showing the game.

And again, this was DirecTv so if you have a different provider, maybe it's different. Just FYI.

I'll go with Preds 5-3. In fact, I'm going to predict a 5 goal game every game until it happens. While I'm at it, I will predict a multi-point game for Legwand.

Wanna go ahead and predict a hat trick for Smithson while you're at it?

I wouldn't go that far. Maybe two goals- one from each "cheek".

Jones scratched in favor of Belak. Maybe this is Trotz's desire to go "old school" like he was quoted on last week?
