I doubt Chicago wants an unproven goalie like Schneider.

Perhaps in the off season, but if Chicago is going to upgrade their goaltending during the season, I think it will be for a proven goalie.

I love all these Schneider proposals from Nucks fans. Aside from posting awesome numbers in the AHL and awful numbers in the NHL (2 wins, 4 loses. 87.7% Save% & 3.38 goals against) what has he done?

He has little value until he can prove to be an NHL goaltender. For the people that were saying Schneider > Rask based on AHL numbers, I laugh at you now. Rask has proven to be an NHL goalie, posting good numbers when he gets a chance.

I laugh at you for thinking six NHL games are enough to assess the potential of a goalie.

Laugh all you want, Vancouver signed Andrew Raycroft () as a backup instead of having their stud prospect () play 10 or 20 games this year.

So, it makes more sense to pay Schneider $784K (not even counting bonuses) to open and close the bench door and watch Luongo, than to pay Raycroft $500K to do the same job?
Be honest...are you Mike Milbury?

So by your logic Boston is doing the wrong thing by having Rask in the NHL... Or maybe, just maybe one is ready for the NHL and the other is not. Either that or one of this organizations is handling their young goalie the incorrect way.

Oh yeah and in games where Rask hasn't gotten a shutout (on a hot Bruins team, no less), he has a save percentage of .883 this year and .886 two years ago. That's so much better than Schneider's .877 on a cold team.

haha and he's a proven NHL goalie because he has 1 less game played than Schneider and two more wins!

lol you are so right

So you're dismissing a game in which he had 35 saves? A game that represents 1/7 of his NHL career?

This would have to happen in the off season if it were to happen at all cause Chicago is in a win now mode losing Versteg hurts there depth at forward also the Canucks can't do this cause of the salary cap.

agreed, this would have to be a cap move, and the Hawks have a while before they have to worry about that.

Can people stop making threads about trading Schneider until he has had a little more NHL experience please? If not, Schneider for a 2nd.. because that's all we'll get right now.

This idea is so original and fresh, did you just come up with it yourself? Just now? It's so unique and a very original concept. It's ingenious, I don't know why nobody else though of this earlier. Thank you for opening my mind.

No. They're dismissing you becuase you're putting so much stock into a goalie in which 1 game represents 1/7 of his NHL career.

You might want to hold off on the laughing until at least one of the 2 goalies in question plays more than a handful of games. Just a thought.
