Okay, maybe one result would surprise me.

16 days. I know it's only been a three game losing streak in that time period...but that Washington game was ages ago.

I've already told you that a couple of days ago, the most important reason is that the top four are running out of gas before the game is over.

Also nice to see that the coaches confirm what I've been trying to tell you about the good chemistry between OKT and Syvret, they like each other which of course is a good thing. And I really like the combination of a physical guy and a puck-mover working together.

But don't worry, if they screw up I'll join the bandwagon. I'm not watching the games live though, it's the middle of the night where I live, and I don't want to lose my sleep. I'm not that much of a fanboy

I don't know what else they would say, you know. Hopefully you're right though. 82 games of 26 min/game from our top two pairings doesn't sound like a good idea. I'd much rather play the bottom pairing some more in the regular season, lose a few more games because of it, then be able to play our top two pairings 26 minutes a game in the play offs because they're fresh.

My thoughts -- win or walk the plank.

If the boys show up and lay an egg, that Sergeant Hartnell pic is really going to rub me the wrong way. In ways I've never rubbed before, and I'm talking about good fun rubs either...I'll be in a foul mood.

Let's Go Flyers!!!

About time there was a game. They had better win. Or else lose and fire Stevens. 3-2 Flyers. JVR, Briere and Richards in that order.

What are the chances we've forgotten how to play in the long off season? Probably going to be rusty again

Doesn't help they get two 6-day breaks to start the season off.

Thomas has been mediocre.

They are w/o their entire top line from last season -- Lucic, Savard, Kessel.

There are NO excuses.

WIN.

One of my vendors gave me a pair of tix in their suite for tonight's game and am taking the wife. What a perfect way to spend our anniversary!

I'll watch this if there's a stream or I can learn to slingbox and someone lets me watch on theirs.

That said, MSE, is there any reason why you don't feature the all-time records between the teams more prominently, closer to the top of the page and in a larger font? Last I checked (which was probably in the mid 90s), there were only 2 teams who had a winning record against us.

Awesome job as usual.
The all-time record segues into the History section so I keep it in that section. In some GDTs the maximum allotment of characters (100,000) is met or exceeded so everytime something is added, another item has to be deleted or abbreviated.

Here is a list of W-L records against each franchise: http://www.flyershistory.com/cgi-bin/tversus.cgi

I want a win by 3 or more goals, and if they lose, changes have to be made. There is no excuse to lose to the Bruins with their injuries.

Positive, Game is in HD again for us Bell viewers, NEGATIVE, it will most certainly be Jack Edwards !!!

Oy... I was really looking forward to his game, but the prospect of listening to that friggen' idiot all evening takes the shine off a bit. The plus is that Randy Jones isn't with the Flyers, so we're hopefully saved from that cackle.

If the playoffs hypothetically started today we'd be one point out....behind the Bruins.

It's early but let's get back in that playoff picture!

Let's see what we've got:

* The Flyers haven't won since 16 days.
* The Bruins have several key injuries.
* Tim Thomas is looking very average.
* The game starts at 1:00 AM CET.
* I have to get up at 8:00 AM CET.

Long story short: If they lose this one I'm going to run amok.

WOW!!!

Atlanta Thrashers 29 W 3 L 3T 1 OTL
Carolina Hurricanes 26 W 7 L 7T 4 OTL
Pittsburgh Penguins 132 W 75 L 30 T 5 OTL
St.Louis Blues 82 W 39 L 17 T 0 OTL

We have some solid records against a lot of clubs.

In fact, there are few teams we are even .500 against or below .500 against.
