Hey, anyone looking to join a ball hockey team? We've got three games left this season, so you could give the league a try, and it won't cost a cent. Our remaining games are on Sunday the 15th at 3PM, and then Sunday the 22nd at 7PM and 9PM.
They're played in Lasalle at the CEGEP André Laurendeau, which is a few minutes from the Angrignon metro, so you could always pick you up from there.
Our team isn't so great, but that's mainly because people never show up. We've got 4-5 guys that are there every week, and then... we're lucky if anyone else shows. The guys who are there are all really hard working, and we've got one of the best goalies in the league. We need both forwards and d-men.
Like I said, if you want to play any of the upcoming 3 games, it'd be free. For next season, it'll depend on how many guys join, but it's $945 for the team.
Send me a PM on here, or email me at blondin [at] gmail [dot] com if you've got any interest. I'm hoping to hear from some of you!

Just buy the full equipment lol if you're playing in a real league (no outdoor shinny). If you're just playing light hockey once a week in beer leagues it will last you forever unless you lose it. And don't cheap out and not buy elbow pads or something, there's still rubbing and some cross checking in non-contact leagues, you don't don't want to bang your unprotected elbow at high speed with one of the many blunt objects or surfaces in a game of a hockey.
yeah and the full cage, I see a lot of guys with half visor go off ice with a mouthful of blood. not worth it for beer league hockey.
All indoor rinks require helmets. Skates are your only other necessity. If you're strapped for cash, don't get gloves but it's a world's difference when you get some. Get some cheap shinguards for 20$ because they'll save you a lot of bruises on your legs.
