As for who is starting Saturday, ask yourself this question:

Had Price won last Tuesday vs the Thrashers 2-1 and won tonight 5-1 would there be any doubts that he would start Saturday?? no, of course not but since it's Halak it's another story...like always.

For Saturday, the thing is you can't put Price. If he ends up losing, the crowd will go ape on him and the medias won't give him a break.

As much as it's weird, you can't bench Halak right now. Kid is red-hot.

10,000 POST....HABS WIN, HABS WIN, HABS WIN!!!!!

I thought we played a great game and the majority of the players stepped up and players who were looking for their game in Lapierre and Patches found it.

Cammy got a goal to get the monkey of his back.

Bergie and Mara looked good.

Gill was solid.

Spacek was good.

Halek was really good.

Team spirit on the bench was great too...Price was a great team leader and cheerleader on the bench...Hedger just said on Sports Centre that she thinks McGuire has a man crush on Price!

I honestly have to say I liked Pierre there by Price chatting all night about him and his play, it has to be a confidence builder for him and it shows McGuire really likes the kid and wants him to succeed!

GO HABS GO!!!!

You can say "it's only the Islanders" but you have to beat them (didn't do last year), it is good to see the team not 'playing down' to the opponent.

Guys who needed to get goals did, we got some pp goals, regulation win. Hopefully we can build on this, because saturday isn't going to be easy.

Want to see Price in there with this D infront of him, most likely would have had a shutout there. Got to stick with the hot hand and let Halak play until he loses, but I don't really care who is in nets on Saturday, I am confident in them both.

Hard to gage since we were playing a horrid team.

Gone are the days we play to our opponents level. A year ago, even the Isles would outshot us. We dominated like we were suppose to.

Rags in town Sat. Ride Halak.

**** you Nashville.

Yes, because unlike Halak, Price didn't have a D in front of him, I wondered how many people would have ******* and moaned about this leave it for the #1 thread, and on top of that leave it to martin I'm so SICK of seeing this **** we just win and all I hear is ******* like ****

It was awkward as hell, having McGuire talk about him to the cameras, with the knowledge the cameras are just on you while you are sitting there doing nothing. Not really much you can do.

Metropolit and MAB played great.
First line was also excellent.
Second line was so-so but they scored one.
Isles were terrible.

Finally a win in regulation !
Amen.

It was only a matter of time. I was never worried. This is the Habs New Generation !
We will dominate once this team gels together. Nice to see we don't need BGL.

Where are the idiots that wanted to put Metro on waivers at the beginning of the year?

Did u realize that it's probably due to the fact that Price is your number 1 guy?
If raycroft wins two games back-to-back does it mean he should play the 3rd and luongo should sit?

haha everyone saw it.. he probably put his head down because McGuire gave him about 17 verbal blowjobs during the broadcast.

Now this isn't me. I love Metropolit from day one... He was the best Habs down the road IMO.

The blowout feels good but we have to be honest. The habs played a young team that lacks talent and that played 3 games in 4 night. Thank god they dominated.

RE-HABS, grats for 10,000th post!

I know the topic about the HFBoards cup isnt there yet, but my 3 Habs stars for tonight:
1st: Glen Metropolit: I thought I would be the only one to give him, but he got the 1st star tonight. Kudos to him for his great comeback;
2nd: Marc-André Bergeron: I was worried of his play in the 1st period, but he did exactly what we expect of him. Good game;
3rd: Scott Gomez: My favorite Hab this year so far, he missed a good chance on his breakaway, but what a player!

I work at night but I'm off today, finally a game that I can watch 60 minutes! Even if our opponents were the NYI, good game from our Habs!
