I know we faced one of the worst team in the league, but at least this time we made them look like the worst team in the league.

Team effort. I dont care that we faced the second to last place team in the East or that they played back to back. We did a collective team effort.. and thats all that matters.

Metropolit is awesome.

a nice test on saturday to see where we really are...even tho the rangers are overachieving a bit.

i would start halak and keep the same lines.

Great game tonight for the Habs!

If they can consistently put up that kind of effort, we're bound to win a bunch of games!

Go Habs Go!

Since I followed the Habs, we always struggled against the Islanders.

Not this time, not with this group of player.

I would like to see that kind of game against a great tream, but still, loved the game.

To those that are downplaying the victory because we played the horrid, terrible, worst team in the league Islanders: They've lost to the Pens 4-3 in a shootout, 3-2 OT loss to Ottawa, 4-3 shootout loss to Boston, lost 2-1 to L.A. and they beat Carolina.

They may have been tired tonight or suffering a victory hangover from last night, but they are a respectable team that works hard. The Habs outplayed them and deserve credit.

Go with Halak. It's a long season, Halak will cool off and Price shall return. But for now, gotta ride the hot hand.

Great game. Loved it. Bring on the Rags, they've cooled off.

Its been 6 great/good periods in my honest opinion.. We had maybe 5 minutes each game where we didnt play as strong but honestly we've been consistent.. and Id like to see that Saturday.. a true test.. but I think when nearly all your players who ended their snake bitten slumps scored goals.. its a good thing heading into Saturday.

I really liked the game. I don't expect them to outplay everyone like this but I hope they'll maintain the same effort level. If they can, I think the habs will be in good position when Markov will come back.

So far Halak hasn't really had to be a factor for us to win.

Great game all around and Metropolit looks awesome.

the reduced shots against us has been a very refreshing trend

Habs did exactly what they needed to do against a team coming off an emotional win last night.

Saturday will be a bigger test but the fact that the habs put up 5 goals is just as important as picking up the two points. They should feel really good about themselves as a whole going into Saturday's tilt. Pretty much every player made at least one play that they can look back on and build confidence from, and that's what I find really encouraging.

very good game overall, I think the fact that JM played with is 4 lines helped us play a good 60 minute game.

I loved what MAG said:

I think that Martin should came back with Price. With giving less then 25 shots any of the two goalie could have won tonight.
