The line shake ups don't bother me, no real chemistry evident anyways

Not that I think Richie played bad but the Carter line needs to get shaken up a bit and I really want to try the french connection for once. Richie would get a little bit less ice time but could concentrate more on special teams situations where he excels. Alternatively we could stick Pyörälä between JVR and Asham and move Richie to Center and Carter to the wing. Carter played wing rather successfully at the world juniors level and I think he could profit from the experience.

I wouldnt mind these, but I would prefer to switch Pyorala and Asham. i may be in the minority, but I like Richards and Pyro together as a shutdown pair. I think JVR with Richie would be good for him too. You could even throw Lappy with Carter and Hartnell and move Asham down to the fourth line/floater spot. These lines wouldn't look too bad.

or: (move some guys around)

Hartnell - Richards - JVR
Lappy - Giroux - Briere
Gagne - Carter - Pyorala/Powe/Asham??
Carcillo - Betts - Asham/Powe/Pyorala??

I can tell you that throughout the game I could hear these two guys just going nuts on the other side of the arena. Just incredible fans.
Things did pick up in the third period, as the first two were noticeable for their lack of hitting and spurts of intensity (expected for the Flyers with so little playing time).

Is there a hot dog count in this thread? The kid and I had eight, but she had a pretzel and cotton candy, too.
Yeah, I noticed how empty it looked at the drop of the puck, but I saw the traffic issues too. It definitely filled up halfway through the first. Also, the last count of hotdogs last night was 20,500 and change... (hubby and I contributed 3 each!)

Obviously, I didn't do my homework on him....good to know! Thanks!

Yeah they really haven't had any chemistry between any 3 player line all year as a team, but the last 2/3 games are really hard to judge based on how long they've had off between games... chemistry needs time to gel and its hard when you're not playing, ontop of that having a coach who likes to jumble the lines as often as he does on the fly, i'm surprised they even know who's team they're on half the time out there

He's a good fighter. But, I'll take some more of his hitting in this quality:
