Doesn't Markov getting unjured cover most of his salary?
No, not one bit since Markov will be back this season.
LTIR only matters if the player is done for the season (see Lang last year, that allowed us to exceed the cap and get Schneider as his ''replacement'') OR if you are dangerously close to the cap and need to call-up players due to the injuries, which puts you over the cap, thus the need to use the LTIR (see the Bruins this week with Lucic and Savard).
Would you say that Andrei is ready? I'm not even sure about that. He's shown glimpses, but man how I wish we'd drafted Getzlaf instead.
Many players looking back at that draft that we could have took instead of him,but what I'm saying is that if we get rid of Andrei to add Frolov,we are still missing a key player in our top 6 cause we don't have one in Hamilton so it wouldn't really help us out.If we could add Frolov by not losing Andrei then we can finally say we have 2 very good offensive lines.

exactly. what i would do. not sure if LA would accept is package skos, lats and if needed a 3rd rounder for frolov, that way we keep andre, and have a killer 2nd line, get rid of a problem(skos) and get rid of a useless player(lats).

I know its early but Getzlaf has the same amount of points as Andrei playing with 2 superior players. I know Getzlafhad a REALLY good year last year, but as of now they`re going at the same pace pretty much so nothing says Andrei won`t have a breakout year, even more if we get Frolov because let`s be honest, Lapierre won`t be able to do the job long term. Just my 2 cents.
LA didnt want anything to do with Heatley for being acting like a *********.... why the hell would they want Sergei, who's in the same situation and less talented?

Relying on their offense and special teams, the Kings rolled to their fourth victory in a row yesterday night, beating Columbus, 6-2. The Kings' offense was led by Anze Kopitar and Alexander Frolov, who had two goals each and are part of a unit that leads the league in goals scored (43) through 12 games. Add that he is a UFA at the end of this season.
Do you still think that Frolov will come in Montreal?
