From Gross' Twitter

"Donald Brashear will be the scratch tonight for the #NYRangers against the #Canadiens. Anisimov centers LW Boyle and RW Voros on 4th line.less than a minute ago from web"

"Goalies tonight: NYRangers: Henrik Lundqvist. Canadiens: Jaroslav Halak."

Drop Brashear and call up Justin Soryal (Cap hit $508K) from Hartford for god's sake... why? See this vid from last night...

Thats not the point. There are teams in the AHL that won't go NEAR Soryal out of fear... He is a fearless tough SOB. His cap hit is $508,000, 6'2", 190lbs, born June 29th, 1987... Rather see him get his feet wet in the NHL than watch 38 year-old Huggy bear go minus 3 in 6 minutes of ice time and losing every fight...

... oh well, Lets go Rangers!

Really looking forward to Boyle-Anisimov-Voros

Can't so I don't agree, plus, add in the fact that they're paying Brashear more then Prospal and it really gets your blood flowing

And then you just think damn, what a good deal we got on Prospal, and it's all good

I really like our lines for tonight. There's a playmaker on every line (yes, I consider Avery a playmaker).

Really excited to see the Higgins - Duby - Cally line. Those 2 wingers should do well with Duby carrying the puck for them.

We have much more depth than the Habs do. Our first line could go toe to toe with their midget line and our other 3 lines will be able to go nuts.

Lisin finally gets a shot with Prospal and Gaborik on the Rags first line... will be interesting to see how he performs.

I don't have a good feeling about this game. We're coming off two terrible games and two of our key players are probably still partially sick.

I don't know, I'm just not feeling it

quick question,

are the rangers shooting a lot?

The habs opponent had 23 or less sog for the past 5 games, for the 1st time since 1998.

Lisin played with Gaborik and Prospal for half the game against the Devils and it was probably the worst those 2 looked at even strength all season.

I think this is a mistake.

I like Prospal for center. Lisin will need to step it up to play well with Gabs.

I briefly looked through our shots made in the last 5 games or so. With the exception of LA, 21 shots, we've had 29 or more shots. Good luck holding us to 23 SOG, especially if we get any PP's.

A few thoughts;

I like the new lineup. The Staal-Girardi pairing had been brutal the past week and I think Lisin with Gaborik has the potential to work well. This is the strongest lineup I think we can present, it just comes at the cost of some Anisimov ice time.

This reminds me of when Prucha got to play with Jagr. Hopefully there is some spark, even if it's short-lived

Well we are shooting more than that.

Only in Montreal would that stat even come up ... How do people know things like that? Impressive
