Chip played great...I couldn't believe my eyes.

Pretty gutsy effort tonight from most!

AKost just doesn't fit on this team though the way he is going.

When we were on the 4 game loosing I mention 3 things that were the cause to that loosing streak

1. The power play
2. The performance of are young players
3. Hall Gill

Coincidence or not, in this 3 game winning streak these 3 aspects have pick it up. The power play has scored a few key goals, (5-3 goal put us back in the game. it would have been a killer not to score on it). The young players, latendresse, lapierre, chipchura, dagostini and paciorety have all pick up there game scoring some goal and playing some real good hockey and finally hall gill I think did a good job along the boards. He will always do mistake but when the puck was behind the net the rangers players were pin deep and he did not let them run u round the net.

But, but, but he won a Cup and he is a Genius, he said so himself!

The guy won a Cup because of Bryan Murray (ex-GM who drafted Getzlaf and Perry, signed Penner and Kunitz), he was lucky on two points. Niedermeyer signed there to play with his brother and Pronger demanded a trade and Anaheim had the package to get him.

Other than that he did nothing to deserve winning a Cup, he has destroyed the teams he has managed in the past, but yet according to him and Toronto ownership and media he is the best thing that happened to the NHL since the forward pass was allowed!

Seems like our best comebacks and wins are always against the Rangers.

Great game!

Question: That one play where a Hab (don't remember who) almost scored off the post then off Lundqvist...did Girardi not cover the puck in the crease?? I was yelling at my tv.

Doesn't matter now, but I was shocked that the announcers weren't even talking about it

it definitely looked like he put his hand on the puck

That was my first thought as well, on the replay it looked like the puck got knocked back through his legs when he went down, so he was just kneeling on the puck covering it up imo

I thought the same thing, it certainly looked like he covered it up, but it might have not been with his hand.

And anyone notice the difference with MAB on the PP?

It says something about your PP unit when "Mike Camalleri one timer" is Plan B.

They sure talked about it on RDS.

On RDS they went on at great length about it (I assume you guys watched on CBC).

I didn't see any conclusive footage showing the d-man covering the puck, but you'd think the refs would be on top of something like that.

It did look like he covered it with his hand. Officials said it was impossible to determine if that was the case in the heat of the moment, so no penalties were called. They talked about it on RDS, that's what they said about the call.

Tonight I noticed the following :

1- We have trouble getting the puck out of our zone when the other team dumps it in because we have so many left handed D playing on the right side.

The Rags were smart : they would dump it in on the left side, our D would pass behind the net to the D playing on his wrong side.

Their forecheck would head straight there and our D would be unable to make a strong forehand play on the boards - weak backhands were intercepted and the other Rags winger was covering the return D to D pass behind the net.

Once O'Byrne is back we will have another right handed shot which will help.
In the meantime they need to work on that play.

2 - The 4th line was great tonight. Kudos to them. Lats seems to thrive in a keep it simple 4th line role. So why not keep him there for a while ?

3 - Since Bergeron has arrived our PP is clicking. Great signing !

4 - These wins are building some serious team spirit & chemistry. Come from behind wins are great for team bonding !

5 - The bi-polar Habs fans aren't complaining anymore. Now they say
"Ca sent la Coupe !"

Great game by the top line.

Plek's looked good, but my God, could A.Kost look any more disinterested in playing hockey. I dunno what needs to be done, but damn, with all that talent, he should be able to sleepwalk through a game better than that.

I'm starting to join the Macpac might need some Hamilton time club. His effort looks O.K., but......

Chip's best game, Dags and Tender looked pretty good too.

The only dman who I though played below average was Spacek, and I'm not worried that he won't have a better game come Monday. Nor Gorges best game either, but he wasn't bad.

Halak wasn't horrible, but I don't think there is a chance he starts Monday.

Bergeron might have the hardest shot I've seen from a Canadiens dman since...I dunno...I think it's faster than Souray's..maybe it is because of his size.

Who doesn't love Cammy.

WOOHOO!!! Habs win...and just to make the night sweeter...the Leafs lose AGAIN, with 'the trader' scoring on his own net.

Proving that Gomez does NOT have the worst contract in the league.

You beat the old team you pay the winner...Mara has to help the dude out, but come to think about it I think Gommer makes 89,000 per game....he can afford it!
