Kings v. Coyotes: Post Game **** YEAH!! Thoughts and Tidbits

Kings 5
Dogs 3

Revenge is a dish best served cold...

Kopitar is everything we have ever wanted him to be and now he leads the league in points.

Simmonds looks natural on the 1st line. What to do, what to do when Williams comes back?

Parse was hustling. He wants to stay. He may.

Quick is killing me. He is either lights out good or rat **** bad, in the same game. That poke check wasn't the worst move but good grief, you don't make the move when the attacker is tied up and has no shot to take.

Frolov...no idea. Need a little help here. I hardly noticed him.

Brownie is hitting again.

What did you guys think of Smyth's game today?

I hate Doan. Hate him with a passion generally reserved for Ducks.

Was Murray rolling 3 lines in the third again?

psst...we're 7-4 and we just beat a very hot team.

Good win, very big for us. Now to concentrate on the game tomorrow... Jackets leading the Ducks by two going into the third so far... Tomorrow is going to be interesting. Both double headers, both winners of their first game.

Quick just needs to cut down on the weak goals, then he'll be amazing.

I thought Smyth played a strong game. Was in on the forecheck and created space for Simmonds and Kopitar.

Kopitar's contract doesn't look too bad right now.

Williams replaces Purcell in the lineup. Not sure if Murray has an injury policy when it comes to line combos, i.e. Willims won't lose his position due to an injury.

Quick with another soft goal against. He won't admit it, but being called the #1 goalie has him thinking too much.

Simmonds is good. Handzus was bad. Frolov was okay.

Doughty is thinking too much and not reacting like last year. Maybe other teams have scouted him better this year.

38 goals scored in 11 games.

Only the New York Rangers have scored more goals with 41.

Amazing.

Solid effort tonight.

Kopitar is earning his money, that's fore sure. Offense and defense, he's put it all together.

Brown has been playing great recently. Hitting, making plays, working his ass off.

Frolov had another solid outing tonight. He looks eager to get those points, he's trying to make things happen.

Recently, Zeus has been kind of...I don't know. Seems to be a step behind on everything. Maybe it's just me.

Getting some praise for both the Yotes and the Kings on NHL on the fly. Plus a shoutout to Kopitar and his new title.

Forgot to mention that a Parse looked good for his first NHL game. Nice fake shot pass to Stoll.

I think that when Williams gets back - Simmonds will be back on third again and we will suddenly get a even more scoring third line. His confidence is boosting and he will go to the net on a regular basis.

I honestly think Simmonds is better than Williams on the 1st line....but you are probably correct.

I do too but I really don't think it matters who is on the first line right now in that spot.

I agree with you, but I am not sure it matters with the way Smyth and KopiStar is playing

Like whoever played with Gretzky and Kurri?

Hammond mentioned that this is the first time Bryzgolov (sp) has given up 4 goals.

Wow, just saw that there were less than 8,000 people at the game tonight!

Purcell is getting worse with every passing game. With the way Parse played tonight, I wouldn't mind seeing Purcell in the press box for awhile, with Parse taking his spot on your third line there.

Ugh. Cammaleri is the NHL Network performer of the night with his third career hat trick and a 4 point night. Kopitar needs to catch up to him in hat tricks. So far he has created a nice pattern, first 3 goals, now 3 assists, so we need another three goals tomorrow Go Kopitar! Go Kings!

Johnson has the distinction of being on the ice for every Quick softy. I swear he should have an even +/- at this point.

I'm on the Simmonds on the 1st line wagon. Williams and Stoll on a line together is kismet.
