i know right its the greatest video for everything. it can explain how you feel in a lot of situations. so rosival just plain sucks? any thing hes good at?
He doesn't suck necessarily, he's just painfully inconsistent.
He has a phenomenal shot from the point, but he's almost afraid to use it. He's a good passer, but if there is any sort of pressure on him, he usually coughs the puck up. He can be a great shut-down type, but sometimes he just looks lost.
He's also seemingly allergic to retrieving dump-ins. The puck will fly over his head and he'll glide into the corner so the opposing forwards can't hit him too hard. If he does get caught in the corner with the puck and he's about to get hit, he throws the puck wherever he can.
Some nights he looks like a $5MM a year top-pairing guy, other's he looks like he's never played a game in his life. His only saving grace is that next year, he'll start having a salary that's actually lower than his cap hit. Might be of use to a team that operates closer to the cap floor with an internal budget.
Shane O'Brien and a 5th for Bryan Allen.
Shane is 3 years younger than Allen but Allen would solidify our Defensive side of the puck and imo be an ideal partner for Bieksa going forward. (could possibly up the pick)
Jordan Schroeder, Van 1st 2010, and a 2nd 2011 for Horton.
Schroeder could be the wunderkid offensively to build around as a potential top line player. But pretty much 2 1sts and a 2nd for Horton. Canucks can fit Horton in with minor tweaking and Demitra staying off the ice til play-offs.
Would give Canucks a team that can compete with anyone.
Hordichuk/Glass - Johnson - Rypien/Hansen
Ehroff - Edler
Allen - Bieksa
Kulemin and Kaberle could be had. Stajan and Poni could be decent as a swap kind of thing. The only problem is those two are ufa's at years end. Grabovski could be had and signed for 3 more years. All players aside from Kaberle are under 30 and after Poni they are 25 or younger. Any interest in these guys? Our teams could be good trading partners right now seeing as neither of our players are holding much value elsewhere
I think it would take a king's ransom to acquire Ballard. He is severely underrated IMO.
I'd like to see the Panthers do well. Rebuilding makes the most sense. Try to get the most assets you can get out of Horton/Vokoun, pickup/acquire thru trade some vet players that will help the younger players learn and get by. Hope Markstrom is ready in a year or two. I'd say the only untouchables are Kulikov, Frolik and Booth. Ballard I would keep as well.
Vokoun has to have value to some teams. The man gets lit up every night but usually keeps his team in it.
Vokoun to Nashville? Detroit? St. Louis? Maybe even LA?
Hmm if Osgood is set to, or maybe forced to retire at the end of this season, I bet Detroit could give you a couple decent young players. Only problem trading with Detroit is that they have no good picks as they finish near the top of the standings every year.
As for LA, I don't really see Vokoun as that much of an upgrade between Quick and Bernier.
Clowe is available maybe. I think he will be good pick for Florida.
I am okay with Clowe being moved, but I want one of two things, a first round pick (which in FLAs case probably isn't moving or a young top pairing d-man (with significantly more going to the team giving up the d-man).
Clowe, Murray, 1st/Couture for Ballard. However, I would pursue Burns first (due to a lower cap hit+ I think he is a bit better).
