Flyers = America
Mike Richards = Enola Gay (The plane's name)
Florida= Japan
Booth = Hiroshima
The hit = The bomb

lol? Kind of a weird comparison there...

Only difference is that Florida didnt really do anything to "deserve" it

I'm surprised at how well the lines worked tonight. Carter had zero luck tonight, maybe he'll get one or two tomorrow. Excellent 2nd and 3rd periods. Hopefully this continues tomorrow!

Carter got point(s), right? I'm fine as long as he did. I'm not as focused on goals as most people.

True, just would've liked to have seen at least one of his 11 shots go in

agreed, at least simon's curse has been lifted finally, hopefully carter and hartnell's will be next. It would probably help if carter would unleash one of his howitzers instead of going to the predictable backhand move all the time!

I went into the game just as the downpour started. I was absolutely drenched going into the game. It sucked.

So there was a downpour. It started coming down harder right when we walked in.

Yea it was bad. I was soaked completely through. We were in the Linc parking lot and all we could do was run. There was some lightning too.

I like your style, touche. The hit wasn't necessary, indeed, but the comparison was more or less an analogy to everyone's opinion on whether it was a legitimate hit or dirty head hunting lunge.

Tell that to David Booth. If it bothers you than ill just compare it to the bombing of Nagasaki then.

There we go Edward, someone gets it. Florida beat us the outing before this one, so they wholeheartedly deserved every pound per square inch of richards hit on Booth's Chin.

I'm hoping you just forgot to put the sarcasm smiley or thought that it was obvious enough to just be understood as sarcasm. Guys' health, at least insofar as we are talking about brain and spinal damage, is way WAY bigger than the game.

I don't think Richards's hit was anywhere near as controversial as the atomic bombings of Japan. One is a solid hit at a player admiring his pass and another was an arguable case of mass murder. One of these things is not like the other.

There was some incident on 95 too. It looked like they weren't letting anyone off in front of the arena. That's a long way to the next exit just to turn around.

I missed the game, but love the results.

Hopefully they follow it through to tonight and keep the streak alive.

I know it was sarcasm. But that's the impression one gets when reading the posts over there.

That all depends if the Panthers sign a treaty to not play against the Flyers ever again, to dismantle all offensively gifted lines, and to allow their future draft choices to be regulated by a five-team panel, including the Flyers.

Booth checked out ok, just a concusion. No harm, No Foul.. i wouldnt have made such a sarcastic remark if it were the other way around. And it isnt, so to say i ignored that fact is completely wrong. And sorry, some people tend to take text way out of context on this board.
Thats for all the sarcasm for you folks.

Your right it wasn't. You have your opinion on the bombing, and it not the topic for me to disagree so i wont, but take a sacasm smiley above for my latter posts.
