Actually you didn't look through the threads. I'm all in favor of playing the goalie that is winning period.

Doesn't the Halak - Price ever crap get annoying ? I feel some people just come here to feed fuel to the fire and sit back and watch the flames !

Atlanta & Buffalo we'll be fighting a play-off spot for but we also still have lots of games left against both so no worries at this time. Besides as long as we get two and they only get one, we're still ahead.
Especially when in Buffalo we shouldn't have even gotten any points, so thats like a 3 point swing. But how often at the end of the year do you see teams seperated by one or two points. We need to win some in regulation.

Though, don't mean to sound like I'm complaining about winnning, because I will take a win any way they come.

Most players would be fine. But Gaborik.. whenever he limps off, it's a scary situation for the team he plays for, i'm sure. But did anyone really think he'd go play all 82 games without having an injury? No way.. in my mind atleast.

Well it is about that time.

The guy is your prototypical great player made of glass, too bad for him. How many have been in the NHL like him???

Lots!

What the **** were the refs looking at on Streit's high stick, I never complain about the refs, but that wasn't anywhere near close to not being played with a high stick.

Great to see Pleks take over and what a pass to Hammer. Nice to see Halak win another win at home. Next game is going to be a tough one.

I liked what I saw from Lats, he is working hard, although another time where he couldn't handle a nice pass on the rush.

In the Chipchura watch, I was looking for how many times he falls on the ice, I didn't do a shot for every time but I did see once where he was knocked to the ice (from the Chipchura thread) he got 13:32 in ice time, that might be a high for him this year (and maybe his career as a guess) he was 4 for 9 in the face-off circle (44%), 1 of 2 in the def zone, 0 for 3 in the off zone and 3 for 4 in the net zone. 3 for 5 against Park but 0 for 2 against Bailey.

Metro led the way in % going 3 for 5 (60%), pleks was 11 for 21 (52%), gomez 8 for 18 (44%)

My guess is that it was just precaution.. I would do the same thing. Especially if he already has a fickle injury history.

Thats what makes the contract that Sather gave him insane. No doubt his skill deserves a huge contract but a part of hockey is avoiding injury. Some say its all luck but thats bs. If guys like Gionta and Cammalleri didn't play smart, they'd get hurt every year like he does.

Just saw the replay and I'm with you...Stephane Auger (I think, one of the refs) is literally five feet away from Streit! How the hell did he miss it?! They've blown down highsticks that are way more borderline than that one.

But in any event, although it goes without saying, Spacek shouldn't have handed the puck over two seconds later...that was equally brutal.

Great waiver pick up. Not a Martin St. Louis or Steve Sullivan waiver wire gem, but a damn good one!

Actually if you look at the replay, his stick was knocked just as he released the pass, it wasn't entirely his fault. More bad luck than anything else.

Difference with a guy like him he would re-sign here in an instant if the team offers him a deal as they are giving him the role and ice time he wouldn't get elsewhere.

Gui, you played a great game buddy, but when you take a wrister, at least HIT THE NET. He missed the net completely like 3 times tonight wristing it. Try and get a rebound.

Almost all our OT goals have been sick.

1. Cammalleri dekes past Schenn and get the puck to the net. Gorges puts home the garbage.
2. Gionta bats the rebound off the board out of mid air into the net
3. Cammalleri goes 1 on 3 and snipes it home
4. Plekanec goes end to end and pretty much through the entire Isles team and makes a beauty saucer pass to Hammer for the goal.

Other: Gionta's shootout winner

Turtleneck power! Perfect finish. The gorgeous saucer pass makes a return to Pleks' arsenal. NICE.

Any word on O'Byrne's recovery? Gets more apparent with every passing game, right D needed stat.

Seriously, NHL, if it's OT, you have GOT to stop the Habs from just freewheeling it end-to-end if you wanna win sometime. Plekanec made a Gomez out of himself and did that very well but I can't believe he managed to blow by three guys for a two-on-one!

And BTW, Pleky scoring was pretty much THE key for the Habs being a good team (well, him and AKost). We knew the top line would produce, but if Pleks is producing at near first-line levels, all bets are off...
