Okay so someone needs to explain this to me.

Up 4-0 and barely any support/chants/noise.
Dancin Larry comes on and the place goes nuts.

WTF is with that?

Nice call.

That's 10 goals conceded by Yotes in last 2 games after not conceding more than 3 in any game this season. I like them and hoping wheels are not falling off.

As for Rangers, that's 46 goals now in 12 games - tops in the league and just ahead of Kings and Sharks and 9 more than Caps (2nd in East - 2 games less however).

I hope so. Day off tommorow but then we play 6 games in 11 days starting with Isles with 5 of those games on the road. It only makes sense.

Islanders aren't making much noise in the atlantic but it's definitely not a game you can mark off as a W on the calendar. We need our best players out there, because they will bring it hard. After the Isles we play Min, Bos, Van, Edm and Cgy. I think it would make more sense to give Henke a breather for the Min game.

Any new news on Gabby?

this is very true...1 good thing about having Lisin on the top line, is you get more talent on the bottom lines because of it.

This is one of the reasons why I think Torts put Lisin on the first line... to spread out the offense. We definitely look like a one line team most nights.

Renney did it as well when he replaced Straka with Hossa on the 1st line. It worked until Hossa's injury, so I'm eager to see how this will turn out. I have a feeling Torts will switch up the lines again, though, because Anismov should be getting increased minutes and possibly Dubinsky as well.

correct

look for those 2 to play more minutes. arty and dubi both played well last night. cally was solid.

i still think dubi is best playing center on line 2 with cally.

arty belongs on line 3 to get more minutes. hes just too damn talented to play 8 minutes per night.

drury belongs no higher than a line 3 and with arty playing so well, that means a slide to the wing for the capt.

higgins has earned line 4 minutes.

To me Callahan has been disappointing. If everyone's going to bash Drury for his game then Callahan should be bashed too. Both have 2 goals & 3 assists as well. Callahan has also been playing more minutes than Drury (Callahan is #3 for forwards in TOI).

After last season expectations for him are to get at least 25 goals. He's on track for 14 right now.

Callahan is just a better player in my opinion. Drury has played worse anyway. If they have equal stats, prob means Cally is playing better bc he makes things happen out there- unlike dead to me Drury

He provided a nice screen on Gaborik's PP goal. He's been good on the PK and has worked hard every shift. He may not be scoring but he's fair from not adding value.

I was saying over the summer that we should reserve judgment on Callahan concerning his ability to score goals consistently. He played on the first line with Gomez last year so it won't be surprising if he scores less goals this season.

I was pleasantly surprised with Callahan's production last year, as I thought he would score no more than 15-18 goals a season. However, his play this season seems to indicate that he is more of a 3rd line type player and anything more than 20 goals is probably asking too much of him. Hopefully he can turn it around but I don't think he will improve on last year's numbers.

Maybe I need to watch the goal again but I don't think Gaborik needed a screen at all. Dubinsky passed it from behind the goal line and Gaborik snapped it home before Bryz could get into position

edit: or do you mean the other one? Bryz wasn't screened on that at all, it was just a great shot

cally is different. even if hes not scoring, he does everything else at such a high level, hes making an impact on pretty much every shift. he hits, he forechecks, he gets back and he creates turnovers.

ive havent seen him take many shifts off this season or last or ever for that matter.

he can be on my team any day. period.

he is the prototypical torts player. and thats why he has an A on his chest.
