Everyone loved Callahan when he was just a guy that busted his ass and hit people. It wasn't a big deal that he wasn't a scorer. Then he posts a solid goal total, and now people are expecting him to be a scorer and act disappointed when he's not scoring. It's silly.

ive havent seen him take many shifts off this season or last or ever for that matter.

he can be on my team any day. period.

he is the prototypical torts player. and thats why he has an A on his chest.
I think he's been less visible at that lately, and that's what I was referring to.

He hasn't been bad, he just doesn't seem quite his normal self

After last season expectations for him are to get at least 25 goals. He's on track for 14 right now.

It's not all about stats. Cally brings all out hustle, he'll go around hitting people, he'll forecheck and does all the little things. Last year he started off as well, 4 points in first 12 games. After potting 22 last year lots of people expected him to net at least 25. IMO we dont need Cally to score 25 goals for us with all the other offensive firepower we have (Gabby, Vinnie, Kots, Lisin etc.). We just need him to bring that energy night in and night out.

Yeah but the MSG stat trackers are very generous. All of our guys have inflated hit numbers, I would guess.

That shot was absolutely disgusting. How did he fit it through that hole? (That's what she....nevermind)

I'm glad to hear that his injury doesn't appear to be anything serious, but clearly the sooner he gets back, the better. If we have to, I can deal with him missing the next 2 or 3. These games don't mean all that much in the long haul and it's better to be safe than sorry.

We're playing in Minnesota on Friday though... How great would it have been to maybe see Gabs get one against his former team.

But yeah, If he's not ready, let him sit for sure.

Aaaah I completely forgot about that. You know he's going to want to do well in his return.

Best case scenario is hopefully he doesn't miss any time. You'd like to think we wouldn't need him to beat the Isles, but it's always nice to have both teams as close as possible to full strength when they meet up.
