Isles are in full-on "scorched earth" rebuild mode and the only "help" on the way is Taylor Hall or Cam Fowler- and then whoever we draft in 2011 (yet more teens).

Hopefully better days ahead somewhere down the line (especially if Wang opens up the checkbook even a little bit)- but generally- a LOOOOOOOOOOONG road ahead...

Is that how Kansas City looks like?

Nice way to throw a dig in there!

It was a "lower body injury"...take that as you want!

With Gaborik out, who knows what the starting lineup will look like.

Enver Lisin - Vinny Prospal - Ales Kotalik
Sean Avery - Chris Drury (C) - Ryan Callahan (A)
Chris Higgins - Brandon Dubinsky - Pierre-Alexandre Parenteau
Brian Boyle - Artem Anisimov - Donald Brashear

Marc Staal - Matt Gilroy
Wade Redden - Dan Girardi
Michael Del Zotto - Michal Rozsival

Henrik Lundqvist
Steve Valiquette

My guess.

Well, LGR.

If a mod could please tell me why my post containing my photoshopped KC Islanders logo keeps getting deleted, that would be great. There's nothing in the rules that prohibits that sort of thing. And it was in good fun and I thought other posters would get a kick out of it.

Zipay says Brashear is scratched. So I'd guess:

Enver Lisin - Vinny Prospal - Ales Kotalik
Sean Avery - Chris Drury - Ryan Callahan
Chris Higgins - Brandon Dubinsky - PA Parenteau
Brian Boyle - Artem Anisimov - Aaron Voros

Marc Staal - Matt Gilroy
Wade Redden - Dan Girardi
Michael Del Zotto - Michal Rozsival

Henrik Lundqvist
Steve Valiquette

My guess is;

Enver Lisin - Vinny Prospal - Chris Higgins
Sean Avery - Chris Drury - Ales Kotalik
P.A. Parentau - Brandon Dubinsky - Ryan Callahan
Brian Boyle - Artem Anisimov - Aaron Voros

The purpose of having Higgins on the 1st Line would simply just be to get him a chance to score that 1st goal, that would probably end his slump.

Well than you're in luck - we love ending slumps. It's what we do.

Especially for us Mets fans. Could tonight possibly have a worse match up? Sheesh.

Hopefully Gaborik's "lower body" or "above ankle" injury isn't going to be a cranky ongoing issue.

It's amazing how incredibly weak that lineup looks without Gaborik in it.

My guess:
Avery - Prospal - Lisin
Callahan - Drury - Kotalik
Higgins - Dubinsky - Parenteau
Voros - Anisimov - Boyle

barf.

not bad but i think id switch kotalik and cally. maybe itll jumpstar cally being on the top line with prospal and also maybe drury can rekindle some of his offensive touch with kotalik playing with him. otherwise i like the way that looks
