That reads to me that the Habs are showcasing a hot Halak to get some help in return.
If Montreal can package a hot Halak with some other pieces to get a top 6 winger and a another goalie in return I don't think this is a bad thing to do since Price has played well, the team in front of him wasn't playing as well and now are.

I don't think there's any chance Price will be traded, but if he is it certainly won't be for a goaltending "upgrade." And if we were trying to move him, somehow I don't think Price would be sitting for five consecutive games....
If it were Luongo from Vancouver the only reason I see it happening is that Gillis needs space to keep Kesler from getting offer sheets, and he has a lot of UFA's and RFA's coming up and Luongo is a 10 million cap hit next year.
Montreal could trade Price/AK/SK and picks/prospects to Vancouver for Luongo and package?
Luongo coming to Montreal for Price to me creates another problem with Halak still, with Price here he is going to split or at least play 1/3 of the games. With Luongo he will only play 10-15 games.
Halak would possibly go the KHL route demand a trade still.
Why do we need an upgrade at goalie? We have two inexpensive great goalies already with potentially massive upsides. This is stupid and I refuse to believe it.
It will never happen. I think it's absurd that people think that Price not starting 5 games means the end of the world for him on Montreal. Gainey is FAR more patient a GM and he has the biggest boner for Price imaginable.
Any Price related rumore is completely baseless and without merit or logic. Hence why they're poping up on radio comedy shows and Eklunds site. This is a kin to people believing the "War of The Worlds" on the radio was actually happening. Kind of sad if you think about it.
