The Lineup looks pretty decent even without Gaborik, IMO.

normally i would agree but the isles have somehow figured out how tyo stay out of the box so far this season, the rangers have taken twice as many penalties.

and btw you know Brashear is god damn terrible when the team goon is sitting for an islander/ranger game.

The sign of a good time is if someone steps up tonight and replaces Gaborik's scoring.

Not really man. We're relying on Lisin and "2 points" Higgins to carry our top line.

It's a great thing we play who we play in the next two games though. Neither of those teams can buy a win.

Meh, i would have preffered Cally or dubi on that first line in stead of Higgins.

But i guess he does need to get going.

It would be awesome if Tavares meets Avery

Did anyone really expect or want Gaborik to go through the entire 82 game season without taking a break?

I would have penciled him in for atleast 5-10 games of rest.

if someone guaranteed me he'll only miss 10 games this year, i'd insta-call. i know i shouldnt but i'm freaking out over gabby.

anyway i'm predicting drury to get his usual 2 vs the isles tonight

i have a really bad feeling about this game tonight... I think we lose 4-1 and have some serious problems on offense now that the opposition doesn't have to key in on Gabby. Our PP has an 0fer as well.

Tonight is a prime opportunity for players such as Higgins, Cally, and Drury to step it up. If they don't play well tonight, I really don't know what to think. Higgins and Cally have been getting their share of scoring opportunities and need to start hitting the net.

How has Prospal been at pivot compared to how he was at the wing?

He's doing well on faceoffs, maintains his solid defensive game, and is still racking up the points.

Not sure what else we could ask of him.

The same, awesome. His puck distribution has maybe been even a bit better.

If we can't beat the Islanders without Gaborik, we have bigger issues than Gab's injury itself. I think Higgins will score his 1st, and Drury with a great game.

Don't worry, you can always blame it on the refs

All kidding aside, lets hope for a good game tonight. It will be interesting to see how our kids respond to a rivalry game. Good luck!

Not looking forward to the game just for the fact Gabby isn't playing.

But then again PA dominates in the AHL and the Isles are pretty much an AHL team, so he should have a good game.

Flyline, you should change your signature to:

Gaborik - 50 goal season pending. (GOAL COUNTER: 10)

We're not underestimating our opponents now, are we?
Sure, the Isles only have one win so far (CAR), but six of their nine losses have been one goal games, and they've pushed PIT, OTT, BOS, WSH and MTL all to overtime.
