Who is more deserving of a fine?

In light of Boudreau's comments, who do you think deserved to be fined more? Ovechkin for his slewfoot on Peverley or Richards for his hit on Booth? I know Richards wasn't fined, but would like to see what people think.

Richards, no doubt. His hit had 'intent to injure' written all over it

Ovechkin for a cheap and gutless move he's done before more than the clean hit by Richards.

Richards, slewfooting is bad but it's nowhere near as bad as moving his shoulder into some guy's head when he's not looking.

Hate to say it, but Ovechkin. The Richards hit was legal.

That said, Richards is a hypocrit, and half the player Ovechkin is.

Richards got a major penalty for his hit, so how is it considered legal?

An open ice hit is a legal play.

A slew-foot is obviously not.

It was a standard knee jerk reaction. In this age if you injure somebody like that you're going to get penalized for it most likely.

Colin Campbell didn't suspend or fine him and even said that it was a clean hit. I think it was borderline by Richards, but it happened so quickly you really have to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Ovechkin on the other hand has slew footed players before and I wouldn't consider it accidental at all. His play was dirtier even if the result was much less severe.
