Rinne stayed out after practice yesterday for extra work, leading one to believe that Ellis has the leg up, but...one never knows...

Yeah, Rinne seems to be in the net tonight against a weaker offense. It could be good for his confidence. He only has one win on the season, and he let five through in a single period during that win.

Ellis, who has looked mostly good, will be in against Chicago barring a sudden, and very unlikely, offensive onslaught from Minnesota that results in Rinne standing on his head for a win.

edit: Ok Rinne doesn't "seem to be in" tonight, but I wouldn't be surprised. SLake makes a good point.

Sounds like Hamhuis had "concussion-like symptoms"...

Is it just me or does it seem like concussions have been happening more in the past couple of seasons? Maybe I just never really paid attention.

^^ i think they're better starting to understand concussions. Before it would take an extreme case for them to label it as such. Now they realize little hits, where players are only out for a game or two, can be clinically labeled a concussion.

Good point. It isn't as if equipment has gotten worse or hitting has gotten more violent. Equipment has gotten better, and a case could be made that violent hitting has gone down.

I'm relieved that concussions are taken more seriously in the NHL.

Rumor is now Ellis in net due to Rinne staying out after practice yesterday, so who knows.

Regardless of fantasy-stats, you're not playing the Devils. So I mean it when I say good luck tonight.

This worked last time:

I predict a win. I predict Colin Wilson will get a goal.

I think you should do the lines vertically instead of horizontally. Put the defense pairings below the forwards, and then the goaltenders below the defensemen. It makes for an easier read.

Looks sharp, though.

I thought about it but it's hard since I'm using excel and microsoft paint..

I line the jerseys up in excel and print screen and paste into paint.. you know of a better way?

2-0 Preds real quick.. We are putting the pressure on them and we have a PP Goal! Undecided if Hornqvist got a tip on the PP Goal.

Did hamhuis just get three turnovers in one shift? Or was I dreaming

Erat you gotta shoot the damn puck. The Minnesota announcers were like "wtf was he thinking! he should have shot that puck instead of trying to make a fancy play!"

What have the lines been to start? Is Leggy with Sully and Dumont as the first goal appears to indicate?
