I don't think we started off tooo bad, and this was just more or less a game that got out of hand playing a superior team. Our D was suspect all night long, and we got burned by one of the best players in the world. The real test is how we bounce back against Chicago, another tough game. Lets face it losses are going to happen, but we cannot have these long losing streaks and expect to make the playoffs. Once we lose, we need to step up the next game.
I also never got to see the boobs behind martin that everyone was talking about, only the ones on the bench in front.
"They are who we thought they were. If you want to crown their ***, go ahead and crown their ***"
Looks like we were due for a little let down. I was not able to watch the game, did we at least skate with them? I had hoped for a win while not expecting it but if we could skate with them then we at least know we are in good shape down the road but if we could not then we got bigger issues to worry about.
Habs can't win all games they need a big win in Chicago
Can't win em all!? On the road, it's more like "Can't lose 'em all" if we do get a W. 8 wins in our last 29 road games dating back to January 2009. Blech. That's some serious ineptitude on Gainey's resume there. This is gonna be a tough year to stick with, whether we make the playoffs or not. I doubt there'll be any easy sledding stretches (hell we just won 4 in a row but 3 were in extra time). Outscored 20-10 on the road in just 6 games where we've gone 2-4.
I hate away games with a passion now. And do we get an easier test Friday? Nope. We'll need 6 or 7 Friday to assure victory and that's even if our goalie is on his game. The D is terrible and even with Markov we'd be in trouble, though much less of it. Away from home, does anyone on the back end step up? And our forwards are neutralized and made obsolete. What is the difference? No crowd cheering? Last line change? Yuck.

MAB makes some of the dumbest god damned mistakes i've seen in hockey. I thought streit, souray etc etc were one dimensional defenseman, oh boy. MAB can't even pass the damn puck. He has no vision, average mobility and a great shot.
I has mentionned in the other thread, we should suck and then pick a few superstars that will carry us to success for the next 15 years. The tried and true Penguins model.
Really, this is a ****ing joke: Mario Lemieux, Jagr, Malkin, Crosby, WTF? And the Lightning: Lecavalier, Richards, Stamkos, Hedman. **** hockey cities getting all the goods. Oh and did I mention Washington?
