Randy Jones (Update: Jones to LA Kings)

he is on re-entry so would cost 1 yr 1.4 million

Does that fit?. Kind of a lot for a guy that may just spare but it would put more pressure on some guys if they have a bad game

If they do this I hope they keep Parenteau up at 500K and dump Voros

It would make sense cap wise cause then only 900 K goes on the books. Still some cap space for the deadline

He's not very good (even for a #7) so I would say no thank you.

PASS

Randy Jones is not worth that. Especially for a 7th defenseman. No reason to handcuff ourselves now when we may need to add another scorer or 4-6 defenseman at the deadline.

Ummm.... no.

Jones is subpar for even a 7th defenseman and $1.4 million is way too much for a spare. I mean, most 7th d-men are paid around $500,000 - $700,000. Horrible idea.

Dandenault is a better alternative, and he's already playing with the Pack.

Dont know much about him, but I cant figure why

A) We would take the cap hit higher than Dandenault
B) We even need a 7th dman on the pro squad now that we have determined MDZ and Gilroy are both going to be okay to play on a night to night basis.

Pass. I am hoping Parenteau and Dandenault are the new extras. It would be 2 bodies for the price of 1.

You do not ever want him on your team. He's terrible, he's overpaid, even at half of his salary, and once he's on the team, he just never goes the **** away. I was actually just starting to forget this piece of ****, and we're probably going to get stuck with half his pay.

I agree with you on that one. Theoretically to save on the cap they could just have Dandenault sub both then call up a whenever. Getting rid of Voros is not easy though

Looks like the Kings are trying to put some pressure on Jack Johnson to start putting up some #'s and playing better

Goal, assist and first star for the Kings the other night. Jones is better than a 7th dman, just not at his salary
