Frankly, if I was trying to trade with the Wild, I'd try to grab Clutterbuck.

That guy is pretty much untouchable for that team, it would take an overpayment for him. But my god..if Pens somehow did get him for Dupuis, a 1st, and perhaps Caputi? watching the Flyers/Pens games would be UN-REAL!!! Watching Orpik, and Clutter, and hopefully Cooke for years would be so awesome. Pens are already hard to play against, we would be impossible if we added ClutterSMACK!

Then try and get Volchenkov.

So would I, if I thought there was a snowball's chance they'd deal him.

Given our situation though, a vet like Brunette or Kobasew with a reasonable cap hit who'll work in the trenches and put some points on the board is probably the most reasonable target.

Kevin Veilleuix and a 2nd rounder would be good for minny.

He's certainly got an intriguing upside.

I personally do not want Andrew Brunette.

I am a fan of a brunettes, however.

you might consider that a pretty good proposal, if Minny wanted to trade him.

At this time they dont, so you have to buy him, very different story.

Consider it a standing offer.

Needless to say we're in no hurry to make a trade...but considering the fact the new Minnesota regime is slightly more than familiar with the Penguins system and Brunette offers what the Penguins could use down the stretch I think there is definitely potential for a trade like this to happen closer to the deadline.

Fletcher knows the Penguins system inside and out, I wouldn't be surprised if he'd rather collect a few minor league prospects rather than go for draft picks even.

The Pens would do this, definitely, but I don't see why Minnesota would, at least not yet. He is one of their better offensive players on a team that's already having some trouble scoring goals. Perhaps at the trade deadline if Minnesota is struggling they may consider trading him, but right now it's too early for them to consider dealing Brunette for prospects and picks.

I've read so many trade proposals involving Dupuis going back to Minnesota. We've already had him! We don't want him back!

I know. Sadly. I'm incredibly jealous of the Wild in that one regard.

Maybe at the deadline. I would trade Nolan right now for the 2nd and a prospect. If you want to trade Mr offsides MN will want a 3rd also.

lol this proposal is a joke.

what the hell would the pens want Brunette for?

he's a system player, and that system is the trap.

he's an average skater at best, is not physical at all, and would get dominated in our forechecking system.

Brunette = Sykora.

How did Sykora do in a trap again?

Bill Guerin is hardly grease lightening, Brunette is a 5 time 20 goal scorer signed to a decent cap hit. I don't think the Wild will be moving him though as he is signed through next year.
