After a 3-1 loss you would think Dreary and co., could show some sustained effort, and try and play a full game.

Yea it would be nice to see Drury actually do something offensively for a change.

Wild are playing the worst they have played in franchise history - they look down and out. You guys will have no trouble at all.

Are the Avery/Higgins scratches injury related?

Yes, but we just lost to the Islanders last game. Then, we lost two 2nd/3rd liners.

Yes, Avery has a knee problem from falling in front of the net. I assume Higgins has some type of leg problem. This is only because I saw him fall awkwardly while clearing the puck last game.

Groin injury is what Higgins said on the bench after he came back.

Now that you mention it, I remember seeing Higgins fall on that play. Hard to tell what happened to him.

Looked like he lost his balance and twisted his leg a bit as he was falling.

good for byers but it must be said that Grachev must be ******* the bed in hartford to not get the call knowing we REALLY need scoring right now. Hopefully we can gridn one out, they should be able to beat minny with a depleted roster although they are a much better team at home. perhaps torts doesnt juggle lines all night considering hes working with an already disjointed lineup, one can hope...

That's definitely possible considering the way he fell. No matter what the injury is though, losing 3 top line players is HUGE. We need to hope they get well soon, or we could see a whole lot of losses (or Henrik stealing games )

So Grachev is probably playing below expectations otherwise he would've gotten the call-up?

If your expectations were off the charts high, then yes.

I was expecting 15-25 goals, 15-25 assists...which he's actually on pace to match or beat (depending on how many games he plays)

By most accounts, he hasn't adjusted to the speed of the AHL quite yet and isn't finishing all of his chances. He hasn't been that bad, it's just that PAP and Byers have been better.

shonny advised Bayers is simply playing better right now. Time for the team to pull together and play a solid game, hope hank keeps it under 2 goals and they should be fine.

I didn't have any expectations at all, but the mangement might have had some. Just strange that with Gaborik, Avery and Higgins out they call in another 4th-liner?

With Higgins in the first couple of games, he's been battleing and putting himself in good position, yet couldn't score... lately, he was invisible and didn't even get solid chances... I see him as a healthy scratch very soon...

Anyone know if the Wild got any heavyweight on the team? Well, it doesn't matter since the Rangers' one is out with soreness...
Boogaard will have another hug'n'hold with Brashear tonight.
