Could we get Higgins back for nearly nothing?

I would send them a 3rd rounder to keep him in New York!

I wouldabsolutely resign Higgins for the same money. Prolly our most defensively responsible forward last season. This guy's made for this system.

I hope your other 10,196 posts made more sense. Even your parents wouldn't appreciate this one.

In A HeartBeat!!

It amazes me how quickly we think anyone not on the Habs is junk!

Does anyone remember that Higgins--Pleky and AK46 were a pretty darn good line when they first came up!

I would take Higgy back and get rid of Lats in a hearbeat!!!

Higgins can skate and yes he has a good wrist shot!!!

His confidence is shot right now, but in terms of updside..Higgins still has some...Lats does not!

Salary cap would be an issue though!

Yeah!!!!!!!! lats sure has reached his ceiling... And the point is not replacing Lats in the line-up, it's about adding another winger to play on the second line. Lats is on the 3rd... Nice try though. You found a way to bash Latendresse out of nowhere.

Markov's injury gives us plenty of additional space on the cap.

I liked Higgins but I wonder whether something negative is going on in his personal life these days. He just doesn't play with the same passion and joy that he used to. If he really does have some personal baggage these days, he's not worth a draft pick. I'm guessing Gainey has a pretty good idea of what's going on with this young man.

FYI its not 2006 anymore. Just because something was good in the past doesn't mean it will be the same in the future.

I would take Higgins back just for his penalty killing....say what you want about him, but he was a machine on the PK, and so far this year the Habs PK, leaves a lot to be desired.
