Sorry about the lengthy black at the end. Brain fart.

There's also a little story to go with the video, but I can't remember where I posted it...

Excellent song choice, now just go back and finish the end.

A real one is coming. Like I said, that was just a goof. A taste.

I've been compiling lots of footage the last few days.

Glad you liked the song though!

Body bag, check.

I know it's early but the increased offensive numbers of some of these guys are pretty encouraging. Clifford in particular seems to be showing that he has 2nd line scoring upside.

"Four of the USHL players were selected in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, including Mac Bennett (Cedar Rapids RoughRiders) in the third round (79th overall) by the Montreal Canadiens, Jeff Costello (Cedar Rapids RoughRiders) in the fifth round (146th overall) by the Ottawa Senators, Nick Jensen (Green Bay Gamblers) in the fifth round (150th overall) by the Detroit Red Wings, and Nic Dowd (Indiana Ice) in the seventh round (198th overall) by the Los Angeles Kings."

It seems as though Nic Dowd has been invited to the US evaluation camp for the upcoming Jr. A challenge. I certainly like the way Futa and Yanetti have been drafting. They have definitely drafted some good players out of nowhere.

We have all been neglecting the great play of Brandon Kozun. He has 30 points in 17 games. This leads the WHL and is tied for fouth in the entire CHL. I realize he is playing on a very good Calgary team but it doesn't change the fact that he is putting up some great numbers right now. I realize he is undersized and older for the league, though not yet an overager, but if a player consistently makes an impact on the score sheet he will get playing time.

Ok, so we all know that he's small but how's his skating compared to that of Azevedo? Kozun picked in the 6th round and Azevedo picked in the 7th round. Azevedo led the league in scoring and Kozun is the current leader in scoring. I'm thinking, his skating can't be that much better than Azevedo.

I have no idea. I've never seen him play. But I think the comparisons to Azevedo are ill conceived. Azevedo was drafted after his overage year when he lead his league in scoring. Kozun was drafted in his first year of eligibility and had already averaged over a point per game in a season. Azevedo's numbers don't compare to Kozun's at all.

EDIT: Please see corrections by Sam below.

Azevedo was not drafted after his overage year (2008-09 would have been his overage year but he played in Manchester), and Kozun was not drafted in his first year of eligibility (it was his second year of eligibility).

Colton Teubert is having quite a productive season for a stay at home defender.

Yeah, but is he maturing as a player and a person? I'd love to hear from some people in Regina who have a sense of what's going on.
