I don't see much to like about Lisin... He's fast but he can't pass the puck and he can't control the puck well enough either.

He's fast and he works hard though so I don't mind him keeping him around. Just doesn't have vision, puck control, or passing that is needed though to be a top 2 line player.

Anisimov however shows a lot. Good vision, good finishing ability, and good puck control.

Just an awful game. Only two things I'm gonna say:

1. I wanted to give him a shot, but Brashear is absolutely awful. Guy doesn't fight, doesn't hit, and turns the puck over CONSTANTLY. Completely useless.

2. For all the skill he has, Enver Lisin is really showing that he doesn't have the brain/hockey sense to go along with it - it's like his feet and hands are so quick his mind can't keep up with them. That's why his main offensive play is to streak down the wing and rip a slap shot. I'm not saying he's been bad and heaven knows we have bigger problems, just making an observation.

Brash has been killling us with his play on the ice because he's just making dumb decisions.

That said, I don't think the non fighting is an issue. The guy was out I'm pretty sure because of a hand injury. He's not going to fight a guy like Boogey man without being at his best.

He's gotta play better though.

And I agree regarding Lisin.

I think this team is missing character guys like Orr and Mara, we are just like a big glob of jello at the moment.

Hasn't anyone noticed? Once the top lines get broken up, they play terrible. Play station line last year and now the first line this year. .

Piayers like Orr and Mara are not the answer.

Character doesn't score goals--that's what this team is missing when Gabby isn't in the lineup. If the supporting players aren't scoring, it doesn't matter who is in the lineup.

Yeah, their character and leadership really helped last year when the Rangers were slumping.

This team lost a lot of leadership last season, when Shanny, Jagr, and Straka were no longer on the team. The Rangers have yet to fill these voids. This team needs REAL leaders, not marginal players who say funny things when they are mic'd up on MSG.

Actually, I think the Playstation Line stunk it up after mid-November and stuck around for wayyyyy too long. Voros should NEVER play more than 4th line minutes.

There is no top line right now because our best player is injured. I honestly think Gaborik will be fine whoever he plays with. It's the other lines that I'm concerned with.

Didn't see the game, haven't seen any all week actually (no more CI).

We lose to the piles now the Wild, niiiiiice.

In any case, I know the Rangers are always a good road draw, but damn do those fans pack that place up there.

Minnesota Wild fans are collectively very classy.

The crowd cheers their team, they don't boo or heckle the opposition.

At least that's my observation.

I agree with a previous poster, this loss won't ruin Chris Drury's trick or treating, maybe we should gather around and tp his mansion in Connecticut

Lisin - Boyle - Byers.

that's more or less my opening night lineup, except the centers just played musical chairs.

Anisimov can pass, shoot, and dangle. he doesnt play that hard in your face game that dubi does, but hes worlds more talented with the puck.

At this point I'd switch Higgins with Lisin

i'm not sold on Lisin one way or another...but i know, unlike Lisin, Higgins has a track record of being a solid player. he's not doing it so far this year, but he has that in his back pocket.

The reason I suggest the flip flop is because when our great captain dumps it in Lisin is faster than Higgins and might get to more pucks

The fact is, without the players (Gaborik), Tortorella < Renney. The last two games is a carbon copy of last years team.

The coaching styles between Renney and Tortorella is pretty obvious now. Tortorella thinks everyone is Lacavalier and forces them to play that way. Renney coaches to the teams ability. Last nights game under Renney is a 2-1 Rangers win.

As Renney should've adjusted at times Torts should also adjust when the lineup and situation call for it....

If the Rangers won last night 2-1 with Renney as the coach people wouldn't have been "entertained"...

I'm not too upset about the loss last night.

We were missing 3 top 6 guys and had 2 rookies who have played like 3 NHL games combined. I mean, look at our roster without Higgins, Avery, and Gaborik and add in Byers and PA. It looks like the Islanders roster.

Can't really complain about any loss with that kind of lineup.

This is true, keep in mind the blue shirts have been very very very healthy these last 2 years. All teams go through this....
