montreal - washington

washington

Nylander + Fleischmann + Alzner

montreal

Kostitsyn Brother + Weber

Montreal adds a veteran foward to play on the second line, who is just waiting to get into play in the NHL. Fleischmann can put up good points and play on a second line with Nylander Plekanec. Alzner could be used right now on the montreal D for his size. He could easily step up into montreal's D.

Washington would get 2 young fowards in the Kostitsyn brothers who would, I believe would thrive under washington's system playing along with Ovechkin, Backstom, Semin, Green. Weber could be used on Washington's D right now as well, give them an extra canon from the point.

Overall I find both teams get what they want. Montreal would get a solid second line with the new additions. Get some much needed secondary scoring. Washington rid's themselves of Nylander's contract, And get an extra 3 players who have all seen powerplay time which washington could use.

Washington gets 2 big needs with this money saved from 1 big contract and gets more youth who can score and are NHL proven.

Montreal fills the need for a solid second line with secondary scoring.

Gionta Gomez Cammalleri
Nylander Plekanec Fleischmann
Latendresse Lapierre Pacioretty
Moen Metropolit D'agostni

ex. Laraque, Chipchura, Stewart

Ovechkin Backstrom Semin
A.Kostitsyn Laich Knuble
S.Kostitsyn Morrison Clark
Bradley Steckel Gordon

ex. Laing, Aucoin, Fehr

The Capitals are not paying Gainey Alzner and Fleischmann to dump Nylander. It's just too much. If Nylander is not moved this year, he will be waived next year and the problem will be solved.

Washington lacks steady veterans on D, not prospects. Weber would have no value to Washington.

Sergei is undesirable to every team except one that is desperate for offense. Washington is not. Andrei has potential and value, but Washington has Semin, who is better in every way. There's just no need for him.

I don't even take it seriously when I see a Montreal trade offer anymore. It's entertainment.

(no offense to Habs fans, it's just certain posters)

You can take out Alzner, Montreal's big need right now is a solid second line who can put points up, and nylander can play wing as well.

Nylander, Fleischmann

for

Kostitsyn Brothers, Weber?

its pretty fair if you ask me.

Alzner was just so we could round out our D, not a need. Secondary scoring is a need in Montreal. Plekanec the first line, and sometimes the fourth line put up points.

The Caps wouldn't include Carlson in a deal for Pronger, why would they put him in this type of deal for a bunch of players they don't need?

I'm pretty sure he was referring to the fact that young players in the montreal and toronto markets are hyped up similiarly. So brush up on your english and understand what he's saying.
