State of the union:

shawnmullin has about an hour and a half.

then, I have picks for BRG and EB.

then, it's VCL's turn and he has 6-2 hours (4).

then, it's hedberg, who has a full 6 hours and hasn't sent a list.

then, it's MacArcand, and I have his list.

Yeah, that is a mistake. Weldy Young has no coaching credentials; he's definitely a defenseman.

Nice Pick! Why is this guy not in the hall of fame? He was the probably the 2nd best defensemen from the 1890's era behind Mike Grant and maybe Graham Drinkwater. I'd like too see what info you guys have about him?

In Part IV , there was some that were critical of Billy Reay as an ATD coach. Personally I think that he is a valid pick at this stage in a 32 team draft. Never won a cup but made several finals. Meanwhile we see other less successful non-cup winners like Cherry, Nielson 8& Quinn going ahead of him.

Not much. Ultimate hockey is really the only source.

And you should edit your post immediately.

I don't think there's any cause for concern seventies;

478 Hedberg - Tidewater Sharks - Graham Drinkwater, D

Exactly. The way we figure, Thompson can cover defensive minutes and Stuart can play the energy checking minutes. Henry will be one of the best goal scorers on a second PP unit in the entire game.

And he is good to use 5 on 5 to provide that unexpected offensive kick when opponents are prepared for a grind line.

Honestly, what's the difference between a guy like Henry and a guy like Tim Kerr? Size? Doesn't the speed difference counter that? The difference is, we're using Henry in a role that covers his flaws.

Ahh, I missed that. I was totally under the impression that Drinkwater was still available. had him on the radar as a spare.

In terms of results, Henry may be similar to Kerr. But it's hard for me and maybe for others to picture Henry in the ATD setting because he's so small and plays what we picture as a big man's role - tips and rebounds around the net on the power play. There aren't really any other players like him. That's not to say he can't fill that role at this level, just that it's not easy to see.

By the way, I just ran across a source that said 20 of Henry's 24 goals in his rookie year were on the power play. That means over his career, 125 of his 279 goals were scored on the power play. With 45% of his goals on the power play, his scoring is the most power play heavy of any forward who will be selected in this draft and played since 1960. Dave Andreychuk is second at 43%.

Wowsers. these are awesome stats. This is exactly why I am so excited about the HSP getting finished.

Speaking of awesome stats, keep your eye on the HOH section tonight.

VCL asked to be skipped, so MXD is up. VCL will have two selections to make up when he returns.
