Kaberle as been on a hot streak offensively and deserved 1st star tonight..I thought the announcers said he as 13 points in the last 5 games. It certainly helps though when the Leafs are getting all those 5 on 3's to help pad their scoring and PP stats...

Wasn't too impressive of a win. Defensively you don't know what you are going to get with the team. Many of the breakdowns that happened earlier in the year are creeping back with more and more frequency.

I felt sorry for Chipchura tonight. Stewart was abysmal. Completely lost in his own zone and has zero puck control. Akosts wasn't even noticeable unless coughing up the puck.

Offensively the team looked pretty good. The first three lines played well.

Halak played okay. Made some decent saves but also fighting the puck all night long. Can't have that third goal go in let alone the fourth.

I refuse to complain about the officials. The team blew a 2 goal lead with 3 minutes left.

I think this was the absolute best outcome for Habs fans.. they get the two points, but also allow the Leafs to have a point, thus having a lower chance of Boston gaining a top 5 pick lol. Win-win-win for them, I presume.

Good game. But you have to admit, the Leafs don't look like a bottom 10 team. I think Montreal will make the playoffs, however

The Leafs are a bottom 5 team imo. Your powerplay is good but you won't get that many powerplays every game.

IMO, the Leafs will finish from 9th to 12th, similar to last year.
Which is the best thing for us because the thought of Boston getting a top 5 pick...

Price.....benched for a long time.

S. Kosti...sent to the minors perhaps when he was better than several forwards that were kept the the Habs.

And A. Kosti. Have you noticed once him being on the ice during overtime? He is not getting much if any PP time. He is constantly being put on a new line. Now he has been put on a line with Chips and Stewart. How much do you really think he can score with those line mates. Not much. Has Chips line scored a goal this year? I do not think so.

J. Martin appears to be destroying the confidence of perhaps our best 3 young players. What has he done to help them gain confidence. NOTHING that I have seen. I heard he was good with young players. Do you think these 3 are now highly motiveated to play for him? I wonder.

If we lose the play of these 3 and we have a few long term injuries like we did last year we will have a very bad losing season.
Problem is that he plays like **** no matter what line he's on. You can't deny that even if you're a fan as I am. I would expect a "top six" foward to maker a bunch of 4th liners look a little bit good, but even Chipchura looked more offensively efficient.

Skost in Hamilton, rightfully so. It's not only about scoring goals and making nice passes, he's gotta know that to be in the NHL you have to work harder than that.He still didn't play better than those players that didn't deserve a spot over him as you say in your post. The difference maker was that he wouldn't get his head out of his butt.

Price has lost like 5 straight games, not all his fault, but lost them. Halak has won more games. It is what it is.

I mean, when we have Kessel back, our ES goal totals will increase.

It doesn't matter what place Montreal or Toronto are in the standings. The games between these two teams are always emotion filled, and both teams play extremely hard.

Well they did get 5 goals against one of the "best" defense cores in the league.

Leafs have indeed played much better the past 5 games...but the Habs aren't much of a team to use as a comparison.

Entertaining game......but way too many turnovers in our end. We ended the month 7-7 though, can't complain.

Put those uniforms to rest....may they never be worn again.

Hard to believe Komisarek is paid more than Kaberle.

The blue lines on the jerseys must've threw off the refs.

This game reminds me a bit of an AHL game. Our defense will be exposed vs a good team. TO is a bottom feeder with a bad offense. The game was tense because of the rivalry. I am happy we got the two points. We need to play a tighter system for us to be competitive vs good teams.
