I don't get home from work until 6:30, so I get to miss most of the game. ****

Also, I am really NOT excited to watch the WS tonight because even though Lee is pitching, it is do or die. And I hate it.

Find the closest bar, and sit down with a pitcher of your favorite beverage?

I haven't given up yet, I'm just concerned.

Very, very concerned.

Well I meant more along of the lines of being able to watch the game rather than spending the time missing the game because you're getting home. IDK where you work, but if you want to catch the Flyers I would say find a bar, sit down, and tell the bartender to put the game on.

As for the Phillies, it's ok, we're all very, very concerned.

Games at 5 kinda suck. American fans are still at work and for european fans it starts at 11 pm which makes it not very much worth it to go to sleep earlier and get back up. However, it is understandable and admirable to not have it collide with the World Series.

Go Flyers go. Anything near the 500 mark is inexcusable. Hopefully la li bert eh continues to be a good fill in. I already like him better than I did Nodl in any game he played last year.

I can't help but notice our record with Betts in the lineup. I also can't help but remember last years record with Briere out of the lineup.

If we see Carter giving a crap, Betts out there on the PK, and Pronger on his game I predict a win.

4-3 Flyers. Since secondary scoring has been so prevalent this year I say either Pyro or Betts with their first Flyer goal.

Hopefully the start of Carter giving a crap started when he had to stand up for JVR the other day. Although he didn't look like he was all that interested in being a tough guy, it took until I was screaming and yelling at the top of my lungs for someone to do something about it. That was one issue I had with Carter playing with two rookies is that essentially no one is riding shotgun there.

yeah, that concerns me too. maybe get emery out of the net to back them up?

with briere and gagne out, we need much better contributions from carter and giroux. i want to see claude get a sweet game, maybe break the seal a bit.

Carter is proving more and more that he doesnt care about anything, leading me to believe he is on his way out.

Which is sad, considering we could use his scoring.

I thought part of the scheduling was due to events scheduled in the Wachovia Center?

You know better than most how I felt about that hit on JVR and what Carter/whoever else was on the ice had to do about it. We are supposed to be a tough team, Alberts takes a run at our 2nd overall pick in a 6-1 game. You need to make that ****er pay, Carter is such a *****.

I'm thinking Pronger had a talk with Carter after the game about that.

While I didn't scream as much as you did, haha, I completely agree.

We are up 6-1 Carter, I don't care if you get kicked out of the game, punch Alberts in the FACE.

You guys like fighting don't you?

Looks like there could be plenty of those tonight,
Cote should play as well, but guess not.

Konopka vs Lappy
Downie vs Carcillo
Fedoruk vs Asham
Walker vs OKT

I like wins more than fights. Hopefully Cote doesn't play and if he does he needs to beat someone up.

I would much rather take a number 1 goalie over his scoring. And that is what he could fetch us.

Like who?

Vokoun?
Nabakov?

Carter would get us some 33 yo old making bank. No one would move a Rask or Rinne or something. Goalies are too unpredicatable, and good ones are too valuable.
