I guess that means that Oshie and Jackman will be back for the Calgary game. Too bad that Eller can't join Oshie's return, and help spark some offence.

Or it could just mean they returned Stastny so he could help the Rivs today against Hamilton with the plan to likely re-call him again in time for Thurday's game. Oshie could still be out then and although McDonald's injuries from his crash into the boards seem to be a lot less than most would've guessed after watching it, he's no guarantee to play Thurs either. If one of them can't go, Stastny will probably be recalled. If both of them can't go, the Blues will need someone else in addition to Stastny...I would guess Armstrong, maybe Drazenovic, Porter, or dare I suggest it, Eller.

Strachan's likely to stay with Peoria though. Cola should probably be recovered enough from the flu by Thurs.

per Dave Eminian, TJ is good to go.

PEORIA —

The Peoria Rivermen got captain Yan Stastny and defenseman Tyson Strachan back from their call-ups with the St. Louis Blues on Sunday.

Both players were flying to Hamilton, Ontario, where Peoria was scheduled to finish a three-game road trip at 3:05 p.m. They were scheduled to arrive in time to play for the Rivermen in that game.

Stastny became available when Blues forward T.J. Oshie was cleared on Sunday to return from appendectomy surgery.

I hope they didn't want to recall Stastny or Strachan after this game.
Both were hurt, along with Derek Armstrong during the Rivs/Dogs game.

from pjstar.com. Sounds like Stastny may be okay.

WELCOME BACK: The Rivermen got captain Yan Stastny and defenseman Tyson Strachan back from their call-ups with the St. Louis Blues on Sunday morning.
Both players flew into Hamilton in time for Peoria’s 3:05 p.m. start, and played in the game.
Both players also left with possible injuries during the game -- Stastny eventually returned -- and their status was unclear afterward.

Hopefully the three of Stastny, Army & Strachan are ok. As far as calling them or anyone else up, with Oshie ready to go, and as long as McDonald is ok, then they won't need anyone.

Any chance this means a callup for Lars Eller?

Perhaps a very small chance but don't get your hopes up.

Yeah I think at this point Eller has to play his way onto the team more-so than just get an opportunity to fill in a roster spot. From the Blues management perspective Statsny had done that and they kept their promise to reward him.

In addition, I think Armstrong would have been under consideration for that call-up, too, if he hadn't been out with the flu.

I'm excited for Eller's time up. Maybe the team trades Kariya at the deadline and brings up Eller (not sure who the centers would be, or if they'd play Eller on wing...more likely).

I really don't know. This season is frustrating because there is so much potential there, but the team just looks like it threw a rod.
