We should've called up belle, to give us some muscle on the backend because as of now we have to many of the same types of players (MAB,carle, gorges(who even though i like him he dosen't bring fear into other teams) )

What are you talking about? I can hear the lamentations of their women when he's on the ice

It's not like Gill ever played big and physical so it wont be much of a difference against Boston..

He needs his chance to prove he can have a place in the NHL and it has finally come. Its a good test for him and confidence booster since it shows the organization has plans for him.

Good luck Mathieu!

The report said Hal Gill got injured, there was no mention of any star player.

Suprising, replacing a "big bodied prescence" with Mathieu Carle who is more of an offensive guy. I was expecting Shawn Badass Belle, but I guess this kid deserves a chance.

I found Andre Benoit more solid defensively than Carle. Since Carle is a young prospect, he'll profit more playing in the big league.
Funny that Carle also asked for a trade last year. SK probably has a case now.

Carle sucks. He's Brisebois 2.0.

Here's hoping he plays better then he did in the pre-season. He was awful.

Yeah, it would be terrible if the Habs won a Stanley cup with Carle on the roster. Especially if he ends up playing over 1000 games and gets 420 points.

Can people stop acting like Brisebois is the worst defensemen ever? He was pretty good in his prime, sadly he was put in a role he was unfit to play while paired with atrocious linemates.

Everyone loves Gorges for instance but place him in the conditions Brisebois played in for years and he'd be the most hated player on the roster. Patrice should never have been more than a no4-5 defensemen.

Probably as long as it took MAB to get bodied. Give it a period or two.

I'm hoping for the best, but I have never been a Carle fan and I'm not sold yet on what he can bring to this team. I'll be more than happy if he surprises and plays good.

Our board play will freaking suck against a forechecking team like Boston if we play with both Carle and Bergeron in the lineup.

Yet, the medias praised him for being the best rookie out of training camp, in their opinion, of course...

I'm happy I wasn't the only one to think Carle was god damn terrible... The guy just has no clue where to be on the ice in the defensive zone.

Holy freckles... our D is small now...

What it will looks like?

Hamrlik - Spacek
Gorges - Mara
Bergeron - Carle

lulz

and martin better wake up by separating hammer and spacek..we dont have the depth to keep these 2 together..especially when the thrashers dont really have a big line right now that we need to focus on.

Its obvious Carle and Bergeron won't be on the same pairing.

My guess is :

Hamrlik-Spacek
Gorges-Carle
Bergeron-Mara

Both Bergeron and Carle get limited icetime to the benefit of Gorges and Mara.

God I hope this doesn't mean more ice time for Bergeron.

Oh well, let's see what the kid can do.
