I'd rather Busto than Belle.

Can people stop acting like Brisebois is the worst defensemen ever? He was pretty good in his prime, sadly he was put in a role he was unfit to play while paired with atrocious linemates.

Everyone loves Gorges for instance but place him in the conditions Brisebois played in for years and he'd be the most hated player on the roster. Patrice should never have been more than a no4-5 defensemen.
Actually, a no.3 guy, or a no.2 guy paired with a monster if we have no other option as a rusher.

The problem is, he played with guys that were really marginally better, if better at all (Weinrich, Manson) and headcases (Malakhov). Brisebois would have made a great partner to a guy like Chara, or even Adam Foote for that matter.

I obviously understand how I was crushed when Markov went down

I was surprised that (after last year) I was upset when we lost O'Byrne

I am now stunned that (given my honest appraisal of his performance this year) I am facepalming the fact that we won't have Gill

ARRRRGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!#@#$%^@#$^#$^$

guess we didn't reverse the curse with the BP jerseys....
I think Carle>Bergeron, but unfortunately that is not who's replacing who.

Outside of Lucic, they don't have a terribly physical forward corps. Their offense last year was built around small skilled forwards.

Oh no don't make him get his ass kicked agains Moen!

Gill did bring something to the table that none of our callups can do. And that is to move players away from the front of the net. Our D is so small right now too, im really worried.

Hammer Gorges
Spacek Carle
Bergeron Mara

These are the most stable IMO

make it happen JM!

Our D sucks.

Spacek should play RightD now at least, so he's in his comfort zone.

Wow! I was hoping for (and expected) Belle to be back up. Fit more into the Gill mold and did well.

Anyway, Boucher must think he is ready. Having met the man at the draft (was sitting just in front of Kulikov) I can tell you he is something special. Brilliant man with a lot of knowledge and passion. So welcome Mathieu! I will cheer for you! I am happy to see him get some NHL time... After all he went through, gotta feel for the guy.

This, when he's not the guy in the box he's been very good for us on the PK.

Best case scenario would be Carle is getting a shot to take over for MAB.

Hammer and Spacek will stay together..

And i'f i'm not mistaken, Gorges and Carle played together in preseason. I know, preseason..
I think Martin will play with 4 d-man after the 10 minute mark of the 3rd period.

Funning that Carle also asked for a trade last year. SK probably has a case now.
Has it ever been confirmed? I never saw this rumor anywhere else than on HFboards. Maybe you have a link??

So, starting the season we had Markov, Spacek, Gill, Mara, Gorges, O'Byrne, Hamrlik playing D for us... wondering who would be in the stands...

now...

we'll have both Carle and Bergeron taking regular shifts... that's after trying Weber and Belle earlier this season...

You mean Guillaume, Maxime, Marc-André et Mathieu. According to Brunet, they don't have a last name
