personally, imho, Felger should be far, far away from this market, he has contributed nothing to ESPN Radio (now gone) doesn't impress me on 98.5 or CSNNE...

Collins & Giardi are way better than Felger will ever become and have more credibility, even Tanguay and Dickerson were ten x better than Felger

NECN needs to change their name, it looks too much like NESN lol.

i first read that as NESN and CSN merging, and i thought it'd be a neat idea. give NESN+ a more "normal" channel. then people wouldn't really need to go fishing for the right channel when the bruins get bumped.

NECN & CSN are Comcast owned, NESN won't ever be merged since it is the industry leader and that's why when John Henry bought the Sox, NESN was a part of why the figure went to multi-millions....

here's the story direct from CSN...

I loved the NECN sports tonight.

Now they will be corrupted by the WEEI crowd.

He wasn't saying he thought it was possible, just that he read it that way. As did I.

Either way, meh. I like watching Sports Tonight or whatever it's called on CSN. I actually like Felger too. He can be a pain in the ass at times, but he's still a breath of fresh air for the most part. He knows his stuff and he's not afraid to let the elephant out in the room.

And BTW, maybe it's just me, but it seems like most of your posts center around correcting people, checking info for validity or being the first to inform and update. At times, you come off as uptight and a know it all. Calm it down a bit, man. You don't always have to be every threads encyclopedia. I appreciate some of the info to an extent, but honestly, I can read a post and predict it being you without knowing the user ahead of time.

Agree 100%. I only watch that show on the week end when Giardi is on.

Collins is a tool of Edwardsian proportions.

I will miss Sports Latenight

I liked it because it rarely involved opinion. It was a highlight show that reported the facts.

Its too bad its being taken over by the opinionated WEEI personalities.

Depends on which personalities though.

There's no one on WEEI that I like less than Collins or Felger.

True,

I do tune into WEEI from time to time. Mainly when they have Buckley or McAdam on, or both.

Collins is a Stuart Scott wannabe.

This move only makes sense for Comcast

Not sure if it's mentioned here but Joe Haggerty formerly of WEEI.com will join CSNNE.com as their Bruins scribe. Congrats to Haggs!

Sweet.

Congrats Hags.

Put me in the despising Collins camp, he's only slightly better than that "Boom Goes The Dynamite!" kid

Felger can be an annoying, self-serving, contrarian PIA...but he does know hockey (and football) and has his moments. I just ignore all the "I am in love with the sound of my own voice" stuff, and he's actually pretty entertaining.

ps can't get me enough of that Ball State Men's Tennis news...
