Sounds like it's just in case Gill can't go tonight, but he's expected to play.

id mention subban but we know hes not ready yet and they wanna take the time to develope him, but we all know hes>>>>>> carle.

People complain we have a small team? not getting any bigger tonight. You think our D has been bad these past couple of games? I have a feeling it might be worse tonight.

Too bad BGL won't play. We could have had our PP first unit, as per RDS.

I saw Carle play during the exhibition games. He's not the next Bobby Orr but he was competent. He was better than Webber defensively.

Having said that, I thought they'd call up Belle but I guess it's six of one and half a dozen of the other.

I know it's tough for you to understand, well, just because it's you!

6'0 200 lbs is HUGE. I don't know what i was thinking, and Carle will be a career AHL'r.
Hurts ?

Honestly I think Belle deserves this more...however it seems as though the Habs are giving each of these three guys (Weber, Belle and Carle) a call up to give them a taste...and keep them hungry. Carle was not really noticeable in Sunday's Bulldogs game...but maybe that's a good thing...lol

Mathieu Carle is just as big as PK Subban.

I'm 100% certain you wouldn't be *****ing and crying about the size of our D if Subban had been called up instead.

Give him a chance, the team risks next to nothing in having him play an NHL game or two.

I'm surprised to say the least, I found Benoit to be better then Carle this year, and with a LD going down, I would have thought either Belle or Benoit would get the call (also the are the only LD's in Hamilton on an nhl contract since Henry is still not back and St-Denis is on an AHL contract)

LOL, i DON'T want to see Subban for at least another year in this mad hockey town.
I have seen enough of Carle to know his game is almost identical to that of MAB.

Only on the habs board could so called fans openly hope that a prospect fail because of his nationality.

People complain about all kinds of stuff.

Size is definitely not our problem in the games we have lost this year.

I'm not a huge fan of Carle either but I'd rather give him a try then a guy who gives away the puck more often in a game then Brisebois.

If Carle was recalled it seems to me it's because he was the best defenseman available in Hamilton at this point in time. That's how that works.

To me, if Carle makes it in the NHL, he will be a Robidas-type. Nothing too flashy but a good vision and good defensively.

Same here...I'd rather not see Subban in the NHL at all this year unless he's really too good for the AHL or if the Habs have severe injuries on defese.

Habs fan/media love to build up their players but love tearing them down even moreso. And PK Subban is a guy that's already built up in Montreal

I think Gainey is giving a look to all the young D in Hamilton to see what they have, a little carrot for them if you will. Carle did not impress me too much during training camp but neither did Moen and look how that turned out.

Surprisingly I will miss Gill if he can't go tonight. His game seems to be coming around and he has picked up his physical play lately, plus he poke checks like a mother****er. Gill will be the ideal 6th D when Markov finds his way back into the lineup.

We need to address who's already in the system. How will we know if we should give a chance to Carle to shine if you actually don't give him a chance....Subban needs to stay 1 full year in the AHL.

I also hope he'll have some time on the PP.

Nothing much is changing for the game tonight.
The Habs have 2 defenseman in the lineup who are a liability.
Usually it's Bergeron and Gill, but now it's Bergeron and Carle.

Lol... I love how it took 14 games to go from this:

Markov-Mara
Hamrlik-Spacek
Gill-Gorges

...to this:

Hamrlik-Spacek
Bergeron-Mara
Gorges-Carle

How can you be shocked at any of the decisions this management makes these days? I honestly feel you may have a better grasp of our prospects than the people running this team.

Gill is supposed to be out for several weeks so this is a good chance for Carle or one of the young defensemen to step up and prove they belong.
