Hal Gill will be out for several weeks but it's not related to the shot he took in the foot at practice yesterday,. Martin said Gill has been playing through a leg injury for the past three weeks and doctors have advised him to shut it down

he's gonna last 2 games max

It's always fun to see a rotation of Hamilton call-ups

JM sems to have good views about Carle, so I hear on CKAC. JM says he has good view of the game, plays well, consistent, had good preseason games, played well with Hamilton the entire time.
He's still very new so I'm not expecting a lot. But I think it will be interesting.

One thing that should help us is that he can actually move the puck and he has good vision. I hope he keeps it simple though cause he can get into trouble in his own end at times and make bad decisions.

Nah, he still sucks, waste of cap space, signed too long and other crap tools say here.

I'll give Carle a chance, won't expect much, so it will be easy for him to impress me. It's his first official NHL game IIRC.

EDIT: Carle will be the 11th defenseman to dress for us this year.

yeah it is weak ... especially when you consider that MAB can't play a lot 5 on 5 without hurting your team.

I dont know what that means but this D just got worse no matter what you think of gill's play whether he's playing on two legs or one. The D is getting smaller and the pk is going to be more of an issue than it is now. Clearing the crease will also be more of an issue.

Pssh, you take me for a fool? No I didn't expect him to say he sucks. But he sure as hell didn't need to give soo many good comments about him. And they probably could have also picked somebody else if he's that bad. I know the selection is slim, I'm no idiot nor naive like your post seems to imply, I know JM isn't going to praise him like a player who'll take Markov's place.

I liked what Hal Gill brought and defended him a lot. Just saying, pretty much everyone here was against Gill even being signed, but I see A LOT more people saying it sucks he will be out.

You (you being General, not Hackett) will see where Gill is missed in the pk... and delay of game penalties.
