I have three things to say about this game.

1) We need Markov back asap
2) MAB is really bad at playing defense
3) Colby Armstrong is one ugly SOB

Price has been average and this team won't win on average. Halak's getting the wins. Ride him till he gets cold.

Our defence was horrible.

We need to get some new Dmen that know how to play their position.

We also need to teach our forwards how to cover drop passes. Atl. was doing drop passes all night long on us and the forwards did not cover well enough.

Their defence is just not good enough to be a good team.

Gio, Cammy, and Pleks played really well. Too bad out D let us down ....again.

The 5th goal was Carle's mistake leading to penalty leading to goal..

That's not true at all. The Leafs defense is far better, at both ends of the ice. If the Habs were playing in front of Toskala, we'd allow 7 goals a game.

I wonder how either goalie can get confident playing behind that defense. Seriously.

You can't say negative stuff about Carey "Jesus" Price on this board. More like Carey "Red Light" Price.

Halak next game please. MAB on waivers.

Good: 38 shots. 4 goals. Several comebacks.

Bad: 5 goals against on 30 shots.

Yes, I know the defense is bad, and frankly, given the change in coaching that's exceedingly worrisome. If it's a personnel problem then it needs to be fixed right now. If it's a strategic problem it needs to be fixed right now.

I know Price made some big saves, but one goal every six shots is just not going to be good enough.

What the HELL is wrong with this team? It's got all kinds of good indicators. It's got better possession than any Habs teams in recent memory. It outshoots teams routinely. It scores PLENTY of goals 5-on-5.

But it gets beat a lot. That is not normal.

They score a lot of goals 5-on-5, and get scored even more. 4 even strength goals for each team is a freaky occurance and it's already happened to them TWICE. Their special teams are in shambles. It seems every mistake they make ends up in the net.

I used to think this was mostly a matter of luck and that it would balance out, but I'm seriously starting to think there's a grave underlying problem here -- and it needs to be fixed ASAP, because this team does too many things well to keep losing like this. This team should be better than this. In many ways it has BEEN better than this. But there's something deeply wrong and I'm not sure I can put it down to the curse of randomness anymore.

[QUOTE=Leo Getz;21945332]This Price bashing has got to stop. He let in one questionable goal today.

Is Price losing battles in the corner, and unable to clear the puck out of the Defensive zone?
Is Price turning the puck over?
Is Price the reason we have a **** PP.
Is Price taking bad penalties at bad times?

I hear Price shot JFK...[/QUOTE

is price making the key saves?

GOOD
Cammy, Gionta, Gomez and Plek

BAD
Everyone else.

Latendresse really used this chance to prove he belongs on the top 6. Zero shots on goal.

5 goals on 24 shots. Our defense was horrible, but Price was NOT awesome. I don't want to blame him, I know he stole two games against Buffalo and Toronto, but at some point in the third I was hoping for a key save. After the third goal he totally looked out of it...

I don't think it ever has. But I'd really like to know why it's impossible to attempt any discussion on goals that WERE bad without being labeled a "hater" (no matter which goalie lets them in) who obviously can't tell good goals from bad goals. The insecurity/fanboyism/defensiveness is beyond palpable and approaching revolting.

Not only that, we gave up 5 goals to a Kovalchuk-less Thrashers.

Imagine if Kovalchuk had played. Jesus,

I hope all the buffoons that have been posting that Hal Gill should be scratched look in the mirror and admit to themselves that they have an extremetly low hockey IQ.

We do have to get something done about this d. Call up Belle, who his last game up played ok. Dress MAB as the 7th dman. Our forwards played well enough but our d just gave up to many scoring chances. Carle may need a couple of Games to get his game going up in the big league? I really don't know much about him to judge.

Everything outside Gomez,Gionta,Cammalleri and Plekanec sucked. Defense blows hard and I'm not gonna lie people, the goaltending didn't do the job tonight.

You can't blame Price at all for this. He made 3 brilliant saves in the first period to keep us in the game. It's up to the team in front of him to score take advantage of their chances which we didn't do in the first period. We end up down 2-0. Not Price's fault. It's this type of crap and I mean the OP who had the nerve to use this title that hurts young players from getting over these types of performances, especially one where he doesn't have a chance. Shameful, especially if it's a mod.
