I don't know if Phoenix would want to add salary.

That said, I don't know why Montreal would do this. Moen, Lapierre, Latendresse all fulfill the role that Upshall would bring to the club. And Metropolit, Chipchura are quality bottom-6 players, too.

Very true.....Andre is in a different mold then all our other bottom 6 players. I was hoping you were going to tell me that Upshall "could" play 2nd line minutes and contribute. But he's still young, and I'm getting fed up with Lats disappearing act.

It's better to be patient, I think. It is frustrating, but you have to remember that these players made the club early in their careers.

I'd say that if neither player progresses in some tangible way this season, then there's cause for concern and a need to address secondary scoring on the team.

Oh no?

I guess Boston never traded Kessel to the Leafs, I don't think Grabovski ever played for us, either?

It's a myth, nothing else.. Trading superstars (ala Heatley) to a divisional rival may not make sense, but for a complimentary player like Poni who is on a team who probably won't make the playoffs its an easy way for Burke to re-stock some much needed draft picks.

I'd like Upshall on the team, depends on what they want in return. Can he play second line minutes and produce more than the guys we have here? Probably. He is cheap and gritty too. The point though isn't to get rid of Kosty for him, but to find a way to have both. trading a winger for a lesser winger makes no sense at all.

Bob Needs to build 2 lines

Can't wait anymore, bob has to go out and make a trade to build two solid offense of lines,

this team has 4 players that can threaten to score, and that is it

bob pick up the damn phone

Gainey has no vision.

He has an idea on what ingredients are needed, but no vision how to put a lineup together.

No GM in their right mind builds a team with 4 midgets on their top 6...that's the reason we can't win on the road and won't have an easy time beating good teams

so we'll trade all our scraps for a good player? makes sense, a lot of teams want to rid themselves of good players for our garbage...

So we trade more youth/picks to get a team that has a chance of making the playoffs?

We won't win the cup even if you add 2 top-6 players. And winning the cup is supposed to be the goal here, not making the playoffs.

What we need is Peter Chiarelli as GM.

2 of the biggest problems tonight we're both D, Carle & Bergeron... Both we're responsible for serious turnovers, and between them probably 3 goals.

Odds are with Markov in, Gill in, or O'byrne in, that number could have been cut down quite a bit. Our payroll is high, but we are missing a HUGE piece in Markov, and 2 nice supporting pieces in Gill & O'Byrne. Andrei floating at 3.25 is holding is back from getting a true top 6 guy, end of story.

No he's doing nothing, no vision, no direction.

Get rid of Gomez, Gionta and the rest of our overpaid mediocre players if you can get something for them and think about the future.

Yeah because Chiarelli build a team than can sustain the loss of Marc Savard 6-8-1

It's ok they'll draft Taylor Hall. (btw Savard isn't the only injured player)

Andrei definitely wasn't floating tonight. He had his best game of the year by far. He had 4-5 big hits and made things happen, but he wasn't exacly playing with our best players, but I liked how he reacted to the 4th line tonight.

Gainey needs to make a move

So what does he do? Shake up the offence? Make a big deal? Sign a free agent? Or go after a defenceman?
