Weber misses practice...

Quote:
Nashville Predators defenseman Shea Weber did not practice with the team on Monday morning.

The teamís leading scorer appeared to suffer a leg injury while blocking a shot in the second period against Dallas on Saturday. Weber, who has five goals on the season, played just 32 seconds in the third period.

Not surprised. No reason to push it right now. Will start to get concerned if he doesn't return to practice by Wednesday...

Team is on the ice right now. I'm sure we'll see some post-practice quotes later...

Good - Arnott and Tootoo are back
Bad - Weber is out
Ugly - Erat may be playing next game

Glad to see Arnott and Tootoo back. Weber will be missed. Hopefully we can pull something off, get some points.

Time to see if Klein can continue his trajectory towards becoming the player he was projected to be and also time for Sulzer to prove himself as well...

That sucks.

Can we repeat the sweep out West like last year?

I gotta think no, and almost definitely not with webs out.

L.A. and SJ are having good starts, I'd be happy if we even won one of these.
ANA has been pretty bad, but if we lose this one, the trip could be 0-3-0 easily. If there was any time for our top guys to have really good games and turn around their starts it'll be this trip.

Dumont leaves practice injured...

Dumont pulled up lame during PP time during the second half of practice and slowly made his way to the bench, en route to the locker room. Iím gonna call it a lower half injury. Dumont was walking to the locker room with a limp, but the way he moved towards the bench, Iím not sure if it might be an abdominal injuryÖ

Hope to hear an update from someone with credentials later today. Hope it is just a cramp, but of course holding my breath till I hear moreÖ

Colin Wilson also did not skate today...

Per http://twitter.com/NHLPredsInsider

Wilson reaggrevates injury, won't make trip tomorrow

SLake was going to ask you how the lines looked without Wilson and with Arnott and Tootoo. Hopefully, JP will be okay. Or, I guess, the lines today will be irrelevant. BTW, SLake, enjoy your practice writeups.

Colin Wilson re-aggravated his injury (groin?) yesterday and will not travel with the team...

Thanks! I'll be writing up today's practice a little later...

Lines up till Dumont's injury were:

Sullivan - Arnott - Dumont
Smithson - Legwand - Ward
Scatchard - Santorelli - Hornqvist
Belak - Goc - Tootoo

Suter - Hamhuis
Bouillon - Klein
Franson - Sulzer

PP1:
Suter at the point, Arnott and Sullivan on the wings, Hornqvist in front, and Dumont in the middle...

PP2:
Franson at the point, Bouillon and Legwand on the wings, Santorelli in the middle, Ward out front.

Hopefully Hornqvist and Scatchard can get some chemistry with Santo, I love watching those 2 with Wilson.

So they had surgery, and held him out a long while, in order to not have repeat occurrences. And he's out.

Not good.

Weber out for a week, Erat out for a bit longer (thank god) tootoo still not ready. Wilson out with a glass groin, Dumont injured just as he was catching on fire.

Holy balls we are screwed.

Let's just hope they were getting the injuries out of the way early in the year.

He never had surgery. He had a non-surgical procedure that was supposed to help his last groin injury heal.

He may need surgery, though.

We will be competitive. Why would you thank god Erat is out? Yes he's struggled but we could use him back in the lineup ASAP. Especially right now.

Erat has been the worst player on the ice when he has been out there, I am in no hurry to see him return.

that's just foolish worst. Do you really think that Erat won't pull out of his funk and start getting some points?
