My idea: Neither of our current 2nd line wingers have the offensive talent for a 1st line. So I say this is Kostitsyn's chance, I know he hasn't deserved it in the least, but if this gets him going, I'm all for it. Chipchura is the biggest plug in team history so call up Tommy Pyatt. Bergeron is clearly not capable of being an NHL defenseman, maybe play him on the 4th line and point on the PP (Weber 08-09 style) and call up PK Subban!! I think Mara-Subban would be DIRTY!!!!

Cammalleri-Gomez-AKost
Lats-Plekanec-Lapierre
Pacioretty-Metro-Moen
Stewart-Pyatt-Bergeron

Hamrlik-Spacek
Mara-Subban
Gorges-Carle

Halak
Price

Can you remind me who's the goalie of the day in the NHL now??..and which team is he playing for??

Funny how this is EXACTLY the same thing going on with Sergei.

It's in the Habs very best interest to squash the beef with this kid. He could be the solution we can't seem to find to stabilize our top 6.

It would also be a huge mistake to trade either of the bro without having given them a fair chance to play together. There's undeniable chemistry and both of them have great raw talent. Pairing them along side a hot Plekanec should be a project in the very near future.

With D'Ago already out, Gionta possibly out as well, With little production coming from Lats, Laps, MaxPac and A.Kost, we don't have much liberty. On top of that, Laraque is injured so even he can't fill up a spot and then you have a guy like Stewart that is playing quite badly with his stupid penalties.

You would suggest we keep S.Kost (the sole NHL ready player in AHL) down out of principle or ego???...All this at the cost of losing games??..

S.Kost absolutely needs to be called up if Gionta does indeed go down. It'd be extremely stupid if we didn't give him a shot.
Care to tell us how many games Pavelec played in the NHL last season...

thank you.

Gionta was hit by a Cammalleri shot against ATL, not practicing today, could be out against Boston.
Gionta will suck it up and play....

He had his chance against Chicago and did squat with it... its time to cut ties with him and his whiney brother

So who do you want to play on the 1st line against Boston? Lats? Laps? It's basically a guarantee that neither of them would do well with Camm and Gomez. At least AKost has the potential to do well on that line.

Easy, he complained, end result 12 games... so since everyone in favor of a S.K. call-up like to bring the comparison to Pavelec and how it's exactly the same...

how about he gets called up, for no more than 12 games (for the whole season) ?

Just so people can keep saying it's exactly the same... you know...

When Cammy shoots, you just DON'T screen his shot... it's just too dangerous... And his shot doesn't deserve any screening. I mean... you get this shot in the face, and you're dead.

Gill takes up space. MAB doesn't exist. Gill might have been able to poke check the puck away or at least make Kane think twice before sending it across. I never thought I'd be talking about how Gill could have prevented a loss.

I had a question about o'byrne's injury, so i figured I'd post it here. When he's ready to play, do you think he will be sent to hamilton for a re-conditioning stint?

according to the JM interview on HIO, Gio is expected to play tomorrow night, so in fact it is likely Chiphura and Stewart who are out (I actually thought chipper was improving steadily).

Wouldn't surprise me if he got 1-2 games there just so he gets back in it a little bit before playing with the Habs again. We all know how bad/good O'Byrne can be, so I hope they give him the time to get his game back together.

Gill would have probably prevented that pass on the Atlanta PP goal too.

We'd be pretty stupid to not at least give the bros once last shot at it before we dump them - especially at this point of the season.
A big IF is an understatement. His head isn't on straight. I don't even know where you got that idea from. He's so far from it it's ridiculous. He demanded a trade once. Demanded it twice. This was two weeks ago. It ain't happening. He's done. Forget it.

You have a fractured brain when it comes to assessing a hockey player.
