People here are either morons or hypocrites. Yeah, I'm sure if you could choose between playing half a year in the NHL and having your grandchildren set for life you'd choose the former... and if you actually would then you're retarded.

There's more to life than chasing a rubber disk around a sheet of ice people.

comon the coverage sucks compared to NHL. And the video highlights looks to be from the 70s.

You can't talk about it as a whole. Yes, the quality of coverage is differs from city to city, but a lot of teams playing in a modern arenas with a lot of cameras and stuff. And if we're talking about Kazan, their coverage is always very good. So lets say you can watch at least 75% of Ak Bars games in good quality. If you want to.
Well, I can say for sure that compared to the last year quality became better, and this process is going on. But you can't blame KHL for little coverage in sweeden media.

How does it suck? The KHL offers streams for FREE whereas the NHL streams are paid (NHL CI). Saying you can't follow the league is just plain stupid.

yeah, seriously. Carleton U showed yesterday that they have better streaming services than any pro league at the moment. Does it really surprise people that a league trying to make money wouldnt invest in what is probably the lowest-revenue method of showing their games?

For me it's obvious since your 1st post but it's funny how you come up with excuses why would it be so horrible if he ended up playing in the KHL. You went from it's impossible for a foreigner to follow the league to the coverage sucks to this board is full of NHL not KHL.
FYI there are also KHL forums out there.

If the translation is correct, he was offered 715K per month for 5 months of the remaining season. It's around 3,5M $. Doesnt sound like a lot to me. Even if he played for this money from the beginning of the KHL season, it would be just 5M per season.

This is actually his market value, and if he doesnt play - they dont pay. Thats simple. The offer is very reasonable, he would actually get pretty much the same money in the NHL too.
